Shrek 2 (OC Insert)

Returning Home With An Unexpected Surprise

The couple sigh happily before they make their way to their home.

Shrek: "It's so good to be home!"

They walk past the sign that was old now has Fiona's face next to it as the words added into "Ogre's" at the bottom. Shrek scoops Fiona about in his arms and walks to the door of their home.

Shrek: "Just you and me..."

Singing can be heard from the inside before they open the door. It reveals to be Donkey laying in a chair as Lillo is sitting on the floor knitting something.

Donkey: "Two can be bad as one..."

Shrek: "Donkey? Lillo?"

Lillo: "Oh, hey guys!"

Donkey: "*sits up* Shrek! Fiona! Aren't you two a sight for sore eyes! Give us a hug, Shrek, you old love machine. *chuckles* And look at you, Mrs. Shrek. How 'bout a side of sugar for the steed? *offers his chin for a scratch*"

Lillo: "Ok Donkey, let's leave the new married couple be. They did just get back from their trip after all."

Shrek: "Donkey, what are you doing here?"

Donkey: "Oh! I was just helping Lillo taking care of your love nest for you."

Shrek: "Oh, you mean like... sorting the mail and watering the plants?"

He gestures to piles of mail stacked on a stool and potted plants that have withered away.

Donkey: "Yeah, and feeding the fish!"

Shrek: "I don't have any fish."

Lillo: "Uh, about that-"

Donkey: "You do now."

Donkey walks over to a fish bowl. The water is rancid and the two fish are clearly dead.

Donkey: "I call that one Shrek and the other Fiona. That Shrek is a rascally devil. Get your...*mumbling*"

Shrek: "Oh, would you look at the time? Well I guess you'd both better be going."

Shrek opens the front door and beckons Donkey and Lillo to head out.

Donkey: "Hey wait a minute, don't you want to tell us all about your trip? Or how about a game of Parcheesi?"

Donkey runs back over to the fireplace and Shrek groans in frustration.

Fiona: "Um, actually- Donkey? Shouldn't you be getting home to Dragon?"

Lillo tenses up and waves his hands in a motion that says "don't!"

Donkey: "Oh, yeah, that. I don't know. She's been all moody and stuff lately..."

Lillo: "I've been trying to help Donkey feel better from all of it. I even went to Dragon the other day, but she just roared at me. It's dragon for 'get out,' and now Donkey's been staying for a bit until I can a solution to fix it."

Fiona: "Wait, you've also been staying here too? What happened to the cabin you were just building?"

Lillo flattened his ears as he puts his knitting stuff away in a bag.

Lillo: "It's, kind of a work in progress sort of thing. But, I've been working around here and watching Donkey kinda made loose some focus about it."

Donkey: "What you need a somebody, a somebody that wouldn't leave and help you! Everyone needs a little somebody!"

Lillo: "I guess... But, since you both are back from your lovely trip, *gently shoves Donkey to the door* I think it's time for me and Donkey to leave!"
