After first period, Cat did go find Marlowe to force her to apologies for walking in on them. At Marlowe's locker as she was pulling out a book from her back. "Hey cow, you owe me an apology for walking in on my best friend." Tina shouted.

Marlowe huffed as she shut her locker. "Okay, I'm sorry for walking in on you. Next time lock the door." With a fake smile as she walked away from the girls.

"LAME!" Tina shouted. "At least she's not a cow like you!"

Marlowe shook her head as she walked away, another day. It's just another day that she was going to hold it all in. Billy nor Steve was out there when it all happened, along with Taylor. Outside, Steve along with Tyler, Marlowe was going over her notes before her test. Shaking the table with her leg moving up and down. Steve placed a hand on her upper leg. "Hey, you'll do just fine Mar."

"Thanks." Marlowe sighed. "I just want to leave so badly."

Tyler looked at Marlowe. "Why? Did those assholes say or do something?"

Shaking her head no, because she didn't want the new kid to handle this. "I'm just over people." Out of the corner of her eye, seeing Billy talking to Cat and some other girls. Rolling her eyes as she went back to her papers.

Steve noticed the change in Marlowe. Turning his head seeing Billy, then it clicked. "Hey, think of it this way, within the next month you don't have to worry about him. He won't even notice that you're gone." Steve rubbed Marlowe's back.

Shoving her papers back into her folder. "You're right." She sighs. "Thanks. Anyways, how are the two of you holding up?"

"Alright." Tyler answered.

"Glad that today is almost over. But otherwise, I'm making popcorn after school." Hinting about his dad and Marlowe.

"Ah." Marlowe snorted. Bell rings. "See the two of you for lunch." Standing up from the picnic table. Heading into the building going into her next class. Billy sat all the way in the back with Tina. Both of them mutter to each other as Marlowe puts her headphones on.

Class was busy as they had a wrote some more notes for the next day it would be a test that was big to see if they needed to work on stuff more in that class. When the teacher was writing down stuff, Billy moved next to Marlowe. Tossing a note to Marlowe, looking at the note. Unfolding the note as Marlowe glanced at Billy.

'you okay?'

Quickly writing back to Billy and then tossing back to him. 'yeah.'

Going back to writing on what their teacher has written on the board. Billy knew that she really wasn't, and it didn't have anything to do with David. At least Billy hoped not, or about Cat.

Billy wrote back to Marlowe. 'if its about Cat, ignore her.' Tossing the note right back to Marlowe. They both looked at each other, Marlowe looked at the note and nods at him. Marlowe didn't write back. It had nothing to deal with Cat, Billy, or even school. Including David.

It was more about her surgery, she was feeling everything, excited and nervous, worried about that she might not make it. So school was keeping her mind off of it. Class ended Marlowe took her bag as she had to leave school for her other classes. Billy caught up with her.

"Hey, if its about this morning or Cat...."

Marlowe shaking her head. "No no no.. I just have a lot going on in my head."

"Right." Being short with Marlowe.

"Listen California, I really don't have time right now." Seeing that Cat and Tina with Tommy coming to slowly as they were discussing, small laughter coming from the girls. "I have to go to the bus. Besides, I know you don't want them to think your now screwing a cow." Turning away from him as Billy just stood there.

Watching her walking away, Billy turns around and looked at his so-called friends. Heading a different way to avoid them, Marlowe was right. Deep down he hates the way he has to act around people, but he wanted to fit in he wanted to be in the crowed and wanted to be surround by people, so he didn't have to feel like he was alone or judge.

The bus came back after an hour, Marlowe came back from helping around in the hospital. Steve was waiting for Marlowe sitting in his car since it was raining. No practice today so Billy had to go home no matter what, Granny didn't need anything, his dad wasn't going to be home so it might not be that bad after all.

Marlowe sighed as she entered Steve's house as she placed her bag on the hook that it uses to go on when she used to live here. "Dad, I'm home." Steve knew that David would be in the living room sitting on his lazy chair.

Following Steve, Marlowe entered the living room. David wasn't pleased that Marlowe was there. "Why are you here?"

"Why won't you stay in bed?" Marlowe sat on the couch with Steve.

"Who are you? My mother?"

"To give birth to an asshole? Nah. Thank God I'm not." Marlowe leans back on the couch.

Rolling his eyes. "And who would want to have kids with you anyhow."

"Dad..." Steve warned him.

"What??? She's used to this." David didn't care.

Marlowe softly chuckled. "Well at least I listen to my doctor, when something big happens to me." David snickers as he mutters some words under his breath. "David, you and I put each other through hell, if you want to say something like a man, then say it and not mutter something under your breath like you're a teenager." Marlowe wasn't going to let this slide.

Danni enters the home with some dinner enough for all of them. Danni sorta smiled seeing Marlowe. "Marlowe, dear. I'm so glad that you are here. Talking to some sense to David?"

Marlowe chuckled. "Yeah. This asshole just acts like its nothing, when he could have one at any time and not caring about leaving his family."

"Well at least I have a family."

"DAD!" Steve shouted at his dad.

Marlowe laugh. "Oh ouch." Crossing her hands over her heart.  "I am getting healthy and I'm going to be around longer than you. So, if I was you, I would listen to your wife and your doc."

Grumbling as he stood up and went to the kitchen to talk bad about Marlowe to Danni about how rude she's being and blah blah. Marlowe found it funny that all of this was happening. Steve sighed. "I hope that it worked cause if not, I have no idea if my mom can make it on her own just yet."

Patting Steves back. "If not, I'll beat the crap out of him."
