Billy woke up in Marlowe's room alone. He quickly got out of her bed and went downstairs hopefully she didn't get in trouble. Going downstairs Billy saw Granny talking to Marlowe, not sure about what. But he better make sure that it wasn't about him being over here, even though he was more than welcome.

When Granny saw Billy, she smiled a bit. "Ah! Billy, glad to see you on this fine morning, want some coffee?"

"Uh, sure." Seeing if Marlowe was doing alright and it seemed like she was. While Granny was making some coffee, Billy sat next to Marlowe. "Doing alright?" He whispered.

Marlowe nods. "Yeah." Whispering back.

Knowing that she wasn't in trouble, he might be at home. At this point he could care less.  Granny brought some coffee over to him. "I didn't know you were coming over for breakfast." Billy was going to say something entirely different, but Granny didn't care. "I'll make some good toast and eggs for ya."

"You don't have too." Billy thought it was nice of her to that.

"No trouble at all. You're taking my grandbaby to school it's the least I can do." Even though she knew that he was over, as long if they weren't sleeping with each other sexually she didn't care. So, she made it up and besides she needed to go out of town for a little bit, having Billy taking Marlowe that would help so much.

"Alright, of course. Mars and I have to study for an exam on the way." Billy put some creamer into his coffee.

"Wonderful." Granny started to make him breakfast quickly.

Looking at each other, Billy and Marlowe kept to themselves. Granny chuckled. "Two of you, okay?"

"Yeah, Granny. Oh, Steve is going to take me over to his place for a while, David is being an ass and not listening to his wife or Steve." Getting up from the table so she could grab her bag.

"That boy, I swear. If he doesn't start listening, he'll have another one." Granny handed Marlowe her lunch and then headed back in to give Billy his toast and eggs.

"Why do you think I'm heading over there, Granny? He hates my guts because I talk back to him." Shoving her lunch into her bag.

Billy smirked cause he thought it was really funny that a grown man won't listen. Keeping it to himself until he will take Marlowe to school. Granny smiled at Billy, forgetting that he was there sorta. "Sorry about that dear."

"Oh, it's fine." Billy puts the plate away along with the coffee mug.

"Alright, I'll see the two of you later." Granny went outside to start her car as she took her purse with her.

Billy and Marlowe headed to his car. "We'll make a stopover, at my place since I have to take Max with me and change."

"And I'll wait out here." Marlowe waited at the door so it could be unlocked.

When Billy opened up the door and then unlocked the rest of his car, He stared the car and the drove off once Marlowe was in the car. It took a couple of minutes went by, as they were still on the road.

"So, this David doesn't like you?"

"Yeah, I talk back to him, my mom raised me to speak up for myself. Not go hide in a corner."

"And this is pretty boy's dad?" Billy chuckled,

"Shut up, yes, it is. If I hear one word California... believe me, it will not end well." Marlowe didn't want Steve to be picked on since his dad just had a heart attack.

Rolling his eyes as Marlowe called him that. Billy lit up one of his cigarettes. Offering Marlowe one as she shook her head no. With a sigh. "K, can I ask about what happened last night?"

"What about last night?" Looking outside her window.

For a quick moment he wanted to ask about the party but just couldn't bring himself to do it. "Nightmare."

"Right.. I normally have nightmares about the baster how broke up my family from time to time, and I'm guessing last night was it."

"I'm sorry for what you saw last night." Billy wanted to be out in the open.

"For my nightmare?" Now Marlowe looked right at Billy.

Shaking his head no. "You walked in on Cat and I."

Marlowe softly chuckles. "No, I should be sorry. I walked in, I shouldn't have but I needed Steve to come home with me right away."

Billy turned down his street. "What happened with his dad?"

"You cannot tell him that I told you." Crossing his heart. "He had a heart attack."

"Yikes, so that's why you're going over to his house." Marlowe nods. "Fair, why is David an ass to you other then you talking back to him?"

"It's a long story, I thought when I was under his care that things would be different. Was I ever wrong. But I would never wish this kind of stuff to anyone."

Billy pulls into the driveway of his house. "Alright, I'll be back in a bit. Don't come into the house for nothing, hear me?" Marlowe nods. "Good."

Ten minutes and Billy was out with Max. Billy not looking so happy and Max with her face beat red. Marlowe did have to get out so Max could get into the car. Max face did light up a bit when she saw Marlowe.

"I didn't know that you were here."

"It's okay Granny asked Billy last minute to take me to school." Which is true.

Driving back to school as it was loud with music on, Billy didn't want to talk to Max about what happened last night. Marlowe got out of the car as Max and Billy did too when he took his keys and bag. Max got on her skateboard and ride on it to her school. Billy and Marlowe walked to their school together. But not really, they had their own crowd that they hung out with.

Cat smiled seeing Billy as Tina is hanging around with Cat. Billy headed over to his locker as someone told Cat that he took Marlowe to school. Cat tapped Billy's shoulder. "I thought you didn't like Marlowe."

"What?" Billy was thinking about his classes more than what's going on, unless if its really juicy.

"Marlowe, or Mars... I know that Tina and Tommy don't like her."

Billy sighed. "Just because I took her to school doesn't mean I like her. I took her cause I work for her Granny if you want to know so badly." Steve came into the school; he looked like hell. Marlowe greets him. No eye contact towards as Billy kinda looked at them as then at his books.

"Did she say anything about last night?"

"Yeah, she said that she was sorry. " Slamming the locker door. "It happens." Not caring as he headed to his first class.

Cat followed him. "I know but she should say that she's sorry to me as well. Shouldn't she?" Asking for approval.

"Then talk to her Cat." Billy was kinda fed up with her for no reason.
