Chapter 44

Nath's POV

Sven just came back from the pack house, because he had to work today, and I guess that I will have to ask Logan if he will allow me to be a warrior, or at least a guard.

I'm this pack, people actually have to pass a lot of tests to be a warrior, but I hope that a good word from the Alpha of my uncle's pack will be enough for Logan.

I frown a bit when someone knocks on the front door, because this doesn't happen very ofter.

Because most of the people who come here can walk inside of this house without knocking.

"I will open the door." I say to Sven, and he nods slightly, so I stand up.

I open the door reluctantly, and my eyes widen when I see who's on the other side of the door.

"What are you doing here?" I ask them.

"We wanted to come here right after you called me to tell me about Dallas, but we couldn't come here until now." Benjamin tells me, before he gives me a hug.

When he lets me go, I extend my hand towards Jackson to let him know that I want a hug from him too.

"I hate hugs." He tells me.

"I know, but I don't care." I say, and he rolls his eyes, before he gives me a tight hug.

"Hi!" Sven says happily, which makes the guys look at him.

"How are you doing?" Jackson asks him, before he looks at the two kids who are run out of the living room to check what's going on.

Julien come towards Benjamin, and he shows him that he wants him to pick him up.

Benjamin look at him with a weird expression, and he pets his head gently, before he looks at me.

Julien looks at him for a few more seconds, but then he realises that Benjamin won't pick him up.

Then he puts his hands down, and he looks at me with a slight frown.

Jackson, Sven and I chuckle, so Julien decided that he will try wirh our other guest, who actually picks him up.

"He wanted you to pick him up." I say, and Benjamin nods.

"I know, but I didn't want to kill him, so I didn't do that. The kid definitely didn't know that he was asking to die." Benjamin tells me.

I just roll my eyes, before I lead them to the living room.

"There are more." Jackson says happily when he sees the other two kids, while Benjamin looks like he's getting ready to die.

"Guys." I say to gain the attention of the kids. "Make sure to give Benjamin a hug to greet him, because he wanted to meet you for a very long while." I say.

Jeff quickly runs towards Benjamin on give him a hug, so Javen and Joe follow him, while Julien stays in Jackson's arms.

"Did you have to do that to me?" Benjamin asks me when he looks at his legs, which are covered but small humans who are hugging him.

"Yes." I say, but I quickly pull Javen away from Banjamin when he starts to lick his leg.
