I run through the maze trying to get my bearings together. I was not expecting a game of hide and seek with a deadly nadder when I woke up this morning. This dragon had deadly good tracking skills and always seems to know what I'm going to do before I even do it. I hide behind a wall and watch the large oversized bird track one of the other teens through the maze. This dragon is smart, it stays up on top of the walls so they can be aware of anyone that might come close. "Hey, I just happened to notice the book has nothing on night fury's. Is there like another book, or a sequel?" Hiccup yells from the next wall over and I groan knowing he's just giving away his spot and my spot to the deadly nadder trying to impale us with its spikes.

"Maybe a little night fury pamphlet?" I watch the dragon turn its head and send a fireball towards the wall putting a hole in it. The lanky teen looks through it startled. "Focus, Hiccup. You're not even trying!" Gobber orders form his spot on the seats above the chain roof. I hear him scream as the nadder comes barging down the maze towards where he is.

"Today is all about attack. Nadders are quick and light on their feet?" Gobber starts to yell so we'll hear him over the loud nadder screams. "Your job is to be quicker and lighter!" I turn to my left and run after the large beast hoping to get a good hit on its stomach. It's the only part of her that isn't covered in layers of three-inch thick scales and pointy daggers.

I watch her lift her tail and send spikes towards whoever she's chasing. I realize it's Fishlegs when he screams and comes running around the corner. "I'm really beginning to question your teaching methods!" He screams up at Gobber who's picking food out of the back of his mouth. "Look for its blind spot," he says ignoring Fishlegs all together. "Every dragon has one." The deadly nadder comes running towards me and I duck down and it doesn't even see me. It runs right over top of me and I let out a small sigh of relief.

"Blind spot yes, deaf spot, not so much," Gobbler yells criticizing someone. I chase in the direction of the dragon and screaming trying to not get lost in the maze of walls around me. "How would one sneak up on a night fury?" Hiccup yells up ahead of me and I roll my eyes. Why does he care so much about his night fury that he supposedly shot down. "No one's ever met one and lived  to tell the tale. Now get in there!" He yells and I turn the corner and come face to face with him. He sends me a polite smile and I glare back. "Would you shut up!" I whisper scream at him. "You're going to get us-" but I cut myself off because the deadly nadder is right behind him. "Don't move," I order and Hiccup freezes before slowly turning around. "I said do not move not turn around and face the giant fire breathing beast," I tell him but he's already screaming which causing the nadder to shoot at us. "Run!" I scream before tuning and leaving the poor boy to fend for himself.

"I take multiple turns before I come across Astrid and Snotlout who seem to be arguing. "It's coming, run!" I scream and they both take off ahead of me. I easily catch up and pass Snotlout who takes a turn to get away from the large beast and I would too but now it's tracking me. I follow Astrid and take a sharp turn and the dragon hits a wall hard and knocks it over and soon others fall over as well. Astrid jumps out from next to me as if she's going to curly attack the beast but this gives me enough time to take a sharp turn. "Sorry," I shout as Astrid runs away not being followed. The wall next to me starts to fall and I have to jump out of the way so I don't get flattened.

"Hiccup!" My cousin screams and I watch her jump off of a wall, how she got up there no clue, and land hard. The wall now blocks my vision but I can hear the screaming and I know she's mad. "Love on the battlefield!" I hear one of the twins yell which makes me chuckle. The deadly nadder is very confused as to where her target went and starts sniffing around the nearby walls. I hold my breath so it doesn't turn around and come for me.

The deadly nadder finally finds them because it knocks the wall over and I can finally see what the twins were joking about. Astrid is on top of hiccup trying to get her ax from his shield. She finally stands and pries the ax and shield from him before shattering them over the nadder's head. She cries out in pain and walks back to her cage. I'm surprised she gave up so quickly but I am thankful. Even though sometimes I dislike my cousin I don't want her dead.

"Good job Astrid," Gobber claps, his hook now replaced with the wooden hand again. I walk over to the small crowd. "Is this some kind of a joke to you?" Astrid asks angrily. Hiccup is down on the ground curled up in fear still. He looks up at her his face bright red and I scrunch my nose up slightly disturbed. "Our parents' war is about to become ours. Figure out," she puts her ax to his neck, "which side you're on." She stalks off angrily and I let myself watch the small boy. He seems embarrassed and honestly disappointed in himself. He looks up at me and I glare at him before following after the other teens.

"Hey Gobber, would you sharpen my ax?" I ask handing over Astrid's ax. I told her I would get it sharpened for her if she would get more water. She jumped at the offer not really enjoying being near the forgery since Hiccup works here. I needed an excuse to be here and my ax is sharp enough as is. "Hm, I thought your strap was red?" He asks referring to the blue strap on the handle. "Astrid and I have been trying out new fabrics to get a better grip which also means we've had to change our colors around," the lie falls out of my mouth easily but I can't tell if Gobber actually believes me.

"Is Hiccup here?" I ask deciding to stop beating around the bush. "No, don't know where he disappeared off to. Said he had training or something," Gobber explains only half paying attention to me as he grabs my ax. "Hmm, that's what Astrid's doing too," I reply before turning on my heel. "I'll come pick it up later. Thanks Gobber."

I head towards my house until I'm out of sight of Gobber before heading to the woods. I don't know what Hiccup is doing or why he's asking so many questions about night fury's but I'm going to find out.
