My old man of a dragon growls lowly and I know he's getting annoyed and tired. "I'm tired too dude, don't you think I'd rather be partying in the great hall with my amazing family?" I ask before letting out a small chuckle, I just know he's more annoyed now than before. "Let's just look a little bit longer, I mean Toothless wouldn't have just banded Hiccup like that, not after evening that's happened."

I feel Mocks back adjust before he dives down towards the large rocky sea stacks surrounding Berk to do another look through. He turns and flips through the tall rock formations sending out fire signals to hopefully alert the black dragon, but nothing comes out of it. "Please just a little longer," I plead with my dragon as he lands into one of the larger stacks. He turns his head to look at me with a confused look, as if asking why I care so much.

The stress and forester this is having on me brings a few tears to my eyes. "You better not make fun of me for what I'm about to say," I threaten and my dragon slightly shakes his head still wearing a confused look. "Okay," I breathe out wiping away any water from my eyes. "Ever since Hiccup had to flip the script and change things my life has been so much better, you have made it better. No matter how much we fight and how much you hate me I-" my voice slightly cracks as I fear more tears come to my eyes. "I love you, Mock. You're my best friend and I've never had one of those before."

I look away suddenly embarrassed that this fierce and tough old dragon just saw me pour my heart out randomly. "I'm sorry, the holidays are just getting to me I guess- forgot it," I laugh trying to cover the awkward silence. Mock huffs out before sitting on his back legs making me slide off him. "Oh so you're just going to leave me, cool cool." I shrug off the disappointment I feel just as Mock leans his head down to mine letting out cheeks touch.

My head snaps up confused knowing that was something my mother would do before bed. She never kissed my forehead or rubbed my hair, she always touched cheeks so that we could feel each other's smiles. Tears rush towards my eyes and I don't try and stop them now. "You knew my mom." Mocks stands back up to full height and almost smiles at me. "She-" but my voice cuts off because I see a black figure in the distance coming towards us. "Toothless!"

As the younger dragon approaches I can see a pointy object sticking out of his smiling mouth. "You're okay!" I scream as he lands and I run over to him. "We were so worried, Hiccup is miserable thinking you lef- what is this?" I ask as I pull the object from his mouth to find it being a helmet. "Is this Hiccups?" I ask causing the black dragon to smile his goofy grin not realizing how much his sudden disappearance worried his rider. "He lost it and he retrieved it?" I ask and the dragons smile grows bigger.

I let out a laugh at how crazy the last few minutes have been compared to the hours of boring flying Mock and I had before. "We should get back to the party boys," I tell the two dragons who both had very different levels of enthusiasm. Toothless immediately takes back the helmet before takingoff as I scramble to get back into Mock. "Thank you," I place my hand on the side of his face right before he shrugs it off and takes flight.

Toothless keeps looking back to Mock and I urging us to walk faster which makes me smile, but Mock lets out a deep warning growl. "Be nice," I order and Mock concedes with a slight glare down on me. "Don't be nervous, Toothless," I comfort as we walk up the many steps to the great hall. The loud holiday sounds are easily heard through the large oak doors that are slightly propped open. "Ready?" I ask as I open the door wide enough for the smaller black dragon to squeeze through. He nocks into me and I fall backwards into Mock who thankfully holds his wing out to save me. I think our heartfelt conversation touched his hearts cause before he would have just let me fall and kept walking.

"Toothless!" I hear Hiccup scream just as Mock and I enter through the large doors. The boy and his dragon meet in the center of the room. Hiccup pauses to look over his best friends before pulling him into a hug. I let out a small smile as I walk forwards towards the two guys. People cheer and holler for the happy reunion and I notice Astrid raising her brows at me and my implication with this reunion. I shrug my shoulders with a nonchalant style smile before looking up at Mock who also has a slight smile on his stoic face, and not a teasing smile he wears occasionally, but a real genuine look of joy.

"-and what is in your mouth?" I catch the last pasty of Hiccups interrogation making me smile knowing what's next. Toothless opens his mouth and sets the helmet onto the small boys head along with a lot of slobber making me groan out disgusted. "There goes the cute moment," I murmur to myself and Mock let's out a deep chuckle having hear me.

Hiccup hugs his dragon one more time before looking around the room. I follow his eye line to see who he's looking for until his eyes set on me and smiles. I blush knowing I was caught staring but I don't walks away as he comes up to me. "Thank you," he smiles looking over to Toothless whose tongue is hanging out from how large his smile is. "You know you're actualy a really nice person, Frey-a" he add the ah at the end and my slight frown turns into a large smile.

"You gave me my best friend," I smile over to Mock who's watching me with analytical eyes. "I figured you deserved to have yours back too." Hiccup smiles as he watches Mock and I slightly interact. "You guys are good for each other, I can really tell you guys have a deeper bond than anyone else seems to have with their dragons." I nod my head thinking back to earlier when he touches cheeks. "Yeah, I really love him."

Mock then gurgles out a sound that I've never head before. "Did you just?" I ask turning I gave him fully. He looks away almost embarrassed an my smile grows more. "You love me! You really love me!" I cheer and a few people near us turn to look but I don't care. It's been so long since I've been told those three letters and even if he can't say them like me I know he meant them. I throw my arms around his large neck and let my face hide in his scaly skin as I feel tears start to flow out. "I love you." I whisper out and he leans his head down as if hugging me back and I feel my heart full with love and joy and more feelings than I've felt in a long time.

"Thank you Hiccup." I let Mock go and turn towards the boy. "Thank you for giving me this." I'm about to pull Hiccup in for a hug but the smell of week old fish snaps me back to reality. I wipe my cheeks off any tear lines and take a step back from Hiccup. If he notices my sudden shift in demeanor he doesn't mention it. "Happy Snoggletog, Freya." I smiled at him before he turns and walk over to his dad and Gobber. "Happy holidays." I breathe out with a slight smile as I look round the room of smiling faces and then my smile drops when I see all the happy family's.

I search the room for my father but he's not here, I then search for Astrid but she's sitting with the twins laughing and having a good time and suddenly I realize just how lonely I am. "Hey Mock, let's go somewhere else and celebrate, okay?" Mock complies and we leave the grand building and head for the armory. I let myself in through the back door as my large dragons follows having to duck to get in the door. "Wait here please?" I ask as I go further into the workshop hoping to find my Christmas gift for Mock.

"Ah!" I smile to myself when I see the leather seat on the bench drying out. The dark black leather is so sleek and gorgeous with the detailing. I don't want it to be too flashy so all the designs are just sewed in with matching black thread to that you'd have to be very close to see the forest design. I run my hand over the cool leather thanking the gods that it's all dry so Mock can wear it right now. My hand glides down to the belly strap where I made sure to have Gobber add extra padding make from sheep wool so the leather doesn't rub.

"Hey Mock," I walk into the other room where my dragon is currently sniffing at all the tools that are out. "Here you go," I hold out the black seat and I watch as his dark yellow eye slight up. "I figured we needed an upgrade from the scratchy hard seat we've been using. Mock leans down so that I can unhook the old seat and place the new one on. "There we go, tight and secure. Doesn't hurt? Is it too tight?" I start to get nervous when he doesn't react but then he see his mouth open. "Don't smoke me!" I beg as I close my eyes, but once nothing happens I open them to see his teeth showing. "You're smiling! Like with teeth!" This is even better than the close mouthed smile I got earlier at the great hall. "Thank you, for everything." I run up and hug up letting my cheek rest on his. "Thank you."

act one is done! i'm so excited to start the next part but it is slightly complicated. act two is supposed to be riders/defenders of berk, but i don't have any way of watching it unless i find my old dvds. so i think i'm going to just put a section with the aesthetic and vibe and all but then start on act three. i will eventually come back and do act two but i want to keep writing while i'm still in the vibe. hopefully this makes sense, love you all <3
