You're the Problem

When they walk away DD says to Octavia Johnson III, "I guess your plan is working. Maybe a little too well."

"I know. He's making me so mad. I didn't even want to hurt him. He's not my target."

THE NEXT DAY AT SCHOOL:

Notti sat down next to Ddot in second.

"Hey. Have you talked to him yet?" Ddot asked.

"No." Notti replied already knowing who he was talking about.

"Bro, he keeps ignoring me. He's not responding to my texts or talking to me." Ddot said getting annoyed and worried.

"Why you always so worried about DD?" Notti asked getting annoyed at Ddot for always bringing him up.

"Because he's my friend. A good one at that."

"What has he ever done for you?"

"He took care of me and made sure that I was okay when I was at my lowest."

"Haven't I done that for you?" Notti asks offended.

"You have, but you don't understand. I was at my LOWEST. Lower than when you helped me."

Notti smacks his lips. He had done so much for Ddot and he was just disregarding it. He hated how DD was intruding on their relationship, even when he's ignoring them.

Ddot get up and makes his way to DD who is in his seat next to Octavia Johnson III. He taps on his shoulder. He's about to speak when he's interrupted.

"Get away from my man!" Octavia Johnson III shouts.

"Shut up. I'm not talking to you." Ddot says getting mad.

"And he's not talking to you." She snaps back.

DD looks at Octavia Johnson III, then Ddot. He stares at him for a few seconds before turning away. 

Ddot angrily makes his way back to his seat. "I'm so done with her. Who does she think she is?"

"Why are you so obsessed with them?" Notti asked still annoyed.

"She took my best friend! He doesn't even talk to me anymore."

"Best friend?" Notti asked confused and baffled.

"Best friend. I told you. He did so much for me. He sacrificed so much for me."

"I can't with you." Notti says getting really upset.

"Ethan, baby. Please, I love you, I do. I don't want to be with DD. I just want him back as a friend. Our friendship meant so much to me because it was one of the ones I could rely on. One of the ones that could make me happy." Ddot explains.

"Don't I make you happy?" Notti asks still upset.

He hugs him. "You do. Always."

This makes Notti feel a little better.

THE NEXT DAY AT SCHOOL:

"DD, you gotta give me your number or I gotta give you mine." Octavia Johnson III says while taking her seat next to DD in second.

"Alright. You pick."

She grabs a piece of paper and scribbles her number down on it. "Can't even decide if you want me to give you my phone number or to just give me yours." She says jokingly handing him the piece of paper.

He laughs. "You could've just given me your number."

"Well, I didn't think of that."

DD suddenly stops and reaches over and moves the hair that was in her face.
