But I'm back and with another chapter!
DD rushes into the school bathroom and hears noise coming from the big stall. He goes there and sees Ddot on the floor crying. He hurries over to him and takes him in his arms. He had gotten an urgent text from Ddot to come here.
"Are you okay?" DD asks really concerned.
"DD, I don't know what to do." It had been a week since Notti had asked him to decide. He still didn't know who to choose. He couldn't focus. It was all he could think about.
"About what?" DD replies really confused.
"Notti asked me to choose between you two. I don't think I can, but if I don't, I'm gonna lose both of you."
"Did he give you a deadline?"
"No, but he said that I can't expect him to wait."
"Just forget that. Don't think about it. Take as much time as you need."
Ddot's crying slows as he listens to DD's words and feels his body against his. He still didn't really know who to choose, but right now he felt like he might pick DD.
DD's been so kind, caring, and patient to me these past couple of months, especially when I really needed it. Ddot thought to himself. He makes me happy, cheers me up and he always puts me first. But, Notti, he'd been doing all that, up until a couple of weeks ago when he started to change. But, to be fair, he thought I cheated. I can't believe he actually believed that. I would never! I bet DD would never think I cheated. I mean, yeah, he did cheat on me a couple of times, but he changed. He's totally different now. What if Notti's changes become permanent and he changes forever? Does dating me really cause people to change?
"DD, I'm so confused. I really just don't know who to pick."
"Hey, that doesn't matter right now. I'm not gonna force you to pick now. I don't know about Notti, but I'm not."
This makes Ddot smile. "Thank you."
"No problem."
They both get up and head out. Ddot hugs DD. After, instead of letting go, they pull apart a little. Their arms are still partly wrapped around each other as they don't want to let go. They stare into each other's eyes.
Ddot moves closer and deeply kisses DD. After he smiles widely and hurries away back to class. He really felt like he really might choose DD. DD turns, smiling, making his way back to class. He stops in his tracks when he sees Octavia crying.
Why is everyone crying today? DD thought to himself.
