I'll Be Better

He's my boyfriend

Ddot was crying really hard and there seemed to be no end. DD wrapped his arms around Ddot fully and held him close to his chest. He kisses his forehead and rocks him back and forth. That's all Ddot's mom needs to see to know that Ddot will be okay in DD's hands. 

Thank you, she mouths and exits his room.

DD takes Ddot to his bed and they lie down together. Ddot cries on DD's chest with DD's arms wrapped around him. He can hear DD's heartbeat, calming him little by little until he falls asleep.

Ddot woke up and the sky was starting to get dark. He remembers crying himself to sleep with DD.

He sees a note on his nightstand. It reads: 

Hey, Ddot. It was getting late, so I had to leave. But I'm really sorry for not telling you earlier. I hope you're doing better. You're an amazing person and don't deserve this. You are so much without him though. 

Love, DD 

The note makes him feel a little better, but it still doesn't change the fact that his boyfriend of almost a year doesn't want him anymore. He still loved him. He didn't know how to move forward especially since they don't even talk anymore.

He was glad to have DD.

DD

I'm glad it did.

Also, thanks for being there for me and helping me.

That's what a good friend does.

Ddot smiled at the text.

Good night.

Ddot went to bed a little happier.

NEXT DAY AT SCHOOL:

Ddot went to first early, so he wouldn't have to sit next to Octavia Johnson III. He was sitting when he saw her in the doorway with Notti. She was looking at him and giggling. 

When she walked in, they both glared at each other.

When first period ends, Ddot is packing his stuff when Octavia Johnson III pushed him into the desk.  "You gotta problem?"

"You're the problem." 

He ignores her because he doesn't want to be mad and ruin his day already. He also didn't feel like fighting someone right now.

When he walks into second he sees DD, who waves at him. They are talking when they see Notti  and Octavia Johnson III, holding hands.

You can see the hurt and betrayal on Ddot's face. "It's only been a few days." He says feeling like he's gonna cry.

DD grabbed Ddot's hand and holds it. "I don't know why they're acting like we can't do that, too." DD says with an attitude.

This makes Ddot smile a bit. His hand feels comfortable with DD's. "Thanks, DD."

DD smiles at him. This makes him get a weird feeling in his stomach, so he looks away.

AT LUNCH:

Ddot sits down next to DD. "Imma actually beat her up."

"Who?"

"Octavia [Johnson III]." Ddot answers.

"What she do this time?" DD asks while eating.
