"i put my heart and soul into this song." Roger argued.
"No one is disputing that." Brian replied, trying to be as reasonable as possible, though it was becoming increasingly hard to take Roger seriously after reading his lyrics.
"and you don't like it because you want your songs on the album."
"It's not that Roger." Deaky reasoned.
"Then what is it?"
"i'm in love with my car?" Brian said, and him and Deaky shared a look while Roger continues glaring at them. "Maybe it's not strong enough."
"What does that even mean 'not strong enough'?"
"I know we're late, what did we miss?" Freddie asked as him and Hyacinth walked in.
"Discussing Rogers car song." Deaky replied, holding back a laugh.
"Is it strong enough? That's all i'm asking." Brian asked. "If i'm on my own here, then i apologise."
"How does your new song go then," Roger asked, picking up Brian's paper. "'You call me sweet like i'm some kind of cheese'".
"It's good." He defended and Deaky glanced at Hyacinth.
"Please tell me you two have come up with something." he whispered and she laughed.
"Yeah we've got a couple songs going, Fred says he's working on something big." She whispered back, reassuring him.
He nodded and they went back to listening to Brian and Roger argue.
"'when my hand's on your grease gun'? that's very subtle, isn't it?" Brian said, she reading from Roger's lyrics.
"It's a metaphor Brian." He defended and Cynth failed miserably at trying to hold back a laugh. "What, have you got something better, Cynthi?"
"Look, it's just a bit weird Roger." Deaky cut in before Hyacinth had the chance to respond. "What exactly are you doing with that car?"
"Children please," Freddie started. "We could all murder each other but then who would be left to record the album?"
"Statistically speaking, most bands don't fail, they break up." Deaky stated, earning a glare from Hyacinth.
"Why the hell would you say something like that?" Freddie asked. "Roger there's only room in this band for one hysterical queen."
Roger rolled his eyes and gestured to Hyacinth. "What's she then? Hm?"
"She's.. That's a good question." He replied before walking out.
"I know why your angry Roger." Brian started off the argument again.
"Why?"
"Cause you know your song isn't strong enough."
He paused for a moment before grabbing a handful of bacon and throwing it at Brian.
"Is that strong enough?"
He threw some more stuff.
"What about that?"
He grabbed the coffee machine and before he had the chance to throw it Brian, Deaky, and Hyacinth all said at the same time "Not the coffee machine!"
He stopped and Hyacinth got up and took it off him, putting it back in its original place.
"Calm down." She put a hand on his arm and led him back to her own seat before asking. "Who wants pancakes?"
All three agreed and she started on the food before making a little speech to ease the tension.
"Okay so Fred's working on 'something big', me and him have got a couple songs going, and i'm working on a couple on my own."
"I want my song on the album." Roger said, still angry over the previous conversation.
"Look, Rog, i need help on the drums for a couple songs, help me with those and then once we have all the songs finished we can discuss which songs-"
Before she could finish, Roger had got up and was chucking everything out of one of the kitchen cupboards.
"What are you.."
He climbed in and shut it.
"What exactly are you trying to accomplish?" Deaky asked.
"I want my song on the album."
The three of them shared looks before Brian asked "And if we say no?"
"I'm not coming out. Not until you lot agree."
The other three shared the same confused look again, though they all knew he was being serious.
"Maybe we should let him?" Deaky whispered.
"Not on the A side." Brian argued, also whispering.
"B side it is?" Hyacinth confirmed and the other two nodded in agreement. "Fine. Come out. You can have your song on the album."
He got out and even though stumbled while standing up, he still had a smirk on his face.
"So," He took his seat again. "Pancakes?"
