"We don't do disco!" Roger argued for the hundredth time, earning a sigh from Deaky.

"It's not disco."

"Can we stop arguing over this and think about where Cynth is?" Brian asked, referring to the fact that had been an ho ur since Freddie arrived and there was still no sign from Hyacinth.

"What happened the other night with her, Rog? She left with you and none of us have heard from her since." Freddie asked. "She even flew home a day early."

"Nothing happened. Her not being here has nothing to do with me."

"So what happened then?" Deaky chimed in.

"We got some food, talked, and i drove her back to the hotel."

"Well, what did you talk about?" Freddie contributed to interrogate him.

"You know.. stuff." He hesitated before explaining. "Last time we were in New York, me and Cyn kissed, and then an hour later she saw me going back to my room with another girl."

"She told me about that." Fred started. "I'm surprised she even remembered it with how much she drank after coming back to the party."

The next thing they heard was the door slamming shut and seeing that Brian had left.

"Cynth, open up!" Brian knocked on her door, getting no response but hearing the sound of her moving around.

He sighed and went back to his car, getting the spare key to her apartment before returning to let himself in.

Once inside he looked around and saw her sitting on the window seat by the fire escape, cigarette and glass of wine in hand.

"Little early for that, don't you think?" He said, while starting on a cup of coffee.

"It's happy hour somewhere in the world."

"Yeah but in london it's still 11:30am, and you have work."

He came over with two cups and switched her wine for coffee, taking a seat next to her.

"So what did he do this time?"

"What did he tell you?"

"That he apologised for what happened between the two of you in New York."

"Did he mention that the only thing he regretted from that night was kissing me?" She mumbled and took her wine back.

"No, he didn't."

She sighed and looked down.

"Why does he have to be like this? It's like he changes his mind every time he sees me."

"Do you change your mind too?"

"Only because of the way he acts.. it's confusing."

"Okay so, write an angry song about him, record it in the studio, make him perform it live, there. Revenge over.. also this weeks work over too." He suggested, mumbling the last part.

"Maybe i will."

"Good."

"Just not today." She said, earning another sigh from Brian.

"At least come to the studio today. Deaky's got a new song written. He thinks it'll be a hit."

Hyacinth hesitated for a moment before agreeing. "Fine. But only cause i wanna hear Deaky's song."
