Deaky sat in Roger and Brian's shared apartment with the two, all three of them waiting for Hyacinth and Freddie to show up so Deaky could give them the news.

Soon enough, only twenty minutes late, Hyacinth finally turned up.

"Took you long enough!" Roger said, chucking his cigarette pack to her as she walked through the door.

"I'm not that late, Freddie's not here." She replied, lighting a cig before throwing his pack back to him.

"Okay, i can't wait any longer," Brian muttered. "Deaky, what's the news? We'll go over to Freddie's and tell him now but tell us here first."

"Are you sure we shouldn't-"

"Yes." Brian and Roger said at the same time, and Deaky looked at Hyacinth for her opinion.

"Tell us!"

"John called-"

"We know."

"I wasn't finished." He shot a dirty look at Roger. "We're going on tour."

"What?" Roger jumped up, as did the other three.

"Tour of the USA."

"Oh my god!" Hyacinth squealed, and pulled Deaky into a tight hug.

"We've got to tell Fred, he'll lose his mind!" Roger said, grabbing the keys to his cars as they all dashed out the door.

When they got there Roger banged on the door until Fred finally opened it.

"Your phones off the hook." He said, walking straight past him into the living room, followed by the rest of the band, Hyacinth coming in last and giving Freddie a kiss on the cheek on her way in.

"What are you all doing here?"

"We've got news." Deaky said excited, taking a seat in the sofa next to Brian.

"Hello Mary," Brian said while opening a bottle of champagne. "How's your dad?"

She mumbled a response and they waited for Freddie to take his seat.

"John called." Cynth started, bending over to pour everyone drinks.

Roger, who was supposed to break the news to Freddie was a little distracted standing next to Cynth, and needed a kick from Deaky to snap him out of it.

"Oh, right- We're going on tour."

"Tour?" Freddie stood up and came over to Hyacinth and Roger, Brian and Deaky joining them.

"We're going on tour!" Cynth squealed, practically jumping up and down.

He pulled everyone into a hug and they all took their glasses, Freddie proposing a toast followed by a sweet speech, followed by another toast, announcing his engagement to Mary.

The group stayed sat together in Freddie's living room, Hyacinth sat next to Mary, excitedly discussing plans for the wedding.

And though Roger was wearing sunglasses as always, it was obvious he was staring at her, though no one but Brian noticed.

Hours passed and soon enough everyone was clearing out, making their way back into Roger's car.

They dropped Deaky home and the trio drove back to Brian and Roger's place, dropping Brian off while Rog and Cynth went out for drinks.

"Are you sure you fancy coming to the bar with us Bri?" She asked as he got out the car, and she took his place in the front seat.

"Yeah, i'm sure, thanks." He nodded and waved. "Have fun!"

They were sat outside in the beer garden, but considering it was a Tuesday it was basically empty.

"Can you believe it? Enough people like our music that were going on a tour?" Roger said, laughing.

"Yeah, it's crazy. I never thought we would be this big."

"What you didn't believe in us?" He chuckled.

"I did, i just didn't expect it all to happen so fast."

Roger nodded and took out a couple cigarettes, lighting both before handing one to Cynth.

They smoked in silence for a few moments, both thinking about the same thing.

"What are your songs about?" Roger asked, finally breaking the silence.

"What songs?"

"The ones in your little blue book?"

"That is for me to know, and for you to hopefully never find out."

He scoffed. "What? We're in the same band?"

"Yes but they are songs i would play if i ever did a solo album."

"A solo album?"

"Okay, no not a solo album." She paused. "They are songs i wrote before i met Freddie, and therefore wouldn't have anything for him to add to it."

"Okay so have a couple solo songs on our next Album."

She looked at him with low eyes, it was dark and she was a little tipsy, as was he.

"No, not the next album.. maybe one day though."

He nodded. "Yeah well maybe you should play them for me in the meantime."

"No." She laughed.

"No, really. No Fred or Brian or Deaky. Just me and you."

"Maybe." She nodded, and took the last drag of her cig before it went out and she stood up.

"Want another beer?"

"Sure."
