"I have to say, that's got to be one of the best tours we've done." Roger said, putting down Hyacinths last suitcase.
They had just returned from their Born to Die tour, and both collapsed on the sofa the second the front door was finally shut.
"Move in with me." Cynth said, turning her head to look at him.
"Really? Shouldn't I be the one asking you that?"
"Well you said you're thinking of moving. Why not move in here?" She asked. "Half your stuff is already here."
"You're sure you want to live together?" He asked, sitting up straight for once.
"Yeah." She said, also sitting up and leaning in to kiss him. "I mean, you said you love me the day we got together." She laughed.
"Yeah, I might've been moving a bit fast."
"Just a bit." She giggled and kissed him again. "So will you?"
"Of course."
——the next morning——
Hyacinth was woken up at 1pm by her phone ringing.
"What?" She groaned, as she heard Roger stirring in his sleep.
"Did you two just wake up?" Miami asked over the phone.
"Yeah well.. we were up late last night."
"I'm not going to ask.. Freddie called."
"Oh?" She sat up on the edge of her bed. "How is he?"
"Well we didn't get that far into the conversation. He's wondering if you'll meet with him."
"He knows he can call me anytime right?"
"Not just you." Miami specified. "The band. I think he wants to come back."
"Oh, that's.. that's great." She whispered with a smile on her face. "Have you called Brian and Deaky yet?"
"No, not yet. I thought you'd want to be the first to know."
"Thanks for that.. I'll let Roger know. Is Thursday okay for Fred?"
"Yeah, he said he's free anytime. I'll tell him Thursday."
Hyacinth and Miami said goodbye, before Cynth shook Roger awake.
"Morning sunshine." She giggled, pushing the hair out of his face.
"Morning." He said, groaning as he sat up. "What time is it?"
"About 1pm." She said, giggling again as she heard his morning voice.
The two got out of bed, not bothering to change yet as they went downstairs for breakfast.
They agreed on having pancakes, and while Hyacinth began making them she decided it was a good time to bring up meeting with Freddie.
"What would you say if Freddie asked to join the band again?"
"Bugger off, probably." He mumbled, taking a bite of his food.
"You wouldn't want him back?"
"Not if he's the same condescending arsehole as the last time I saw him. Why? Did he call you again?"
"Not me.. Miami." She said and Roger rolled his eyes. "He didn't say anything about re-joining Queen. He just wants to meet with us. I said we'd see him Thursday."
"Can't. I'm busy Thursday."
"Doing what?" She asked, knowing he had nothing planned.
"Anything but seeing Freddie."
Before she could say anything they heard a couple pairs of footsteps and some voices in the hall.
Roger grabbed the frying pan and slowly walked into the hall, sighing and lowering it by his side when he saw that is was just Brian and Deaky.
"How'd you even get in here?" He asked, sighing when Deaky held up the key Hyacinth had given him the day she moved in.
"That key is for emergencies, Johnny boy." She laughed, pulling him into a hug, and then Brian too.
"This is an emergency." Brian argued. "We didn't agree to see Fred. Especially not two days from now."
"Are those pancakes?" Deaky asked, walking right past both Hyacinth and Roger before getting a plate out the cupboard and helping himself to one, followed by Brian doing the exact same thing.
"Those are not for you." She said.
"We deserve these for Thursday." Brian argued and she sighed and let it go.
