Chapter 24

Fishstar went first as he spoke riverclan news. "Riverclan brings news of three new warriors. Please welcome Wildpebble, Whitepatch, and Lonesoul."

Darkstorm looked over to the three new riverclan warriors who held their heads up with pride as the clans called out their new names. Smallstar went next when Fishstar backed away.

"It brings me sadness to announce Mouseheart has died making Owleyes the new Thunderclan medicine cat." The clans cheered for owleyes then went into silence for Mouseheart.

"I'd also like to announce a few new warriors and apprentices." The clans looked at Smallstar as he spoke. "Flowertail, Moonfrost, and Bluejay join us as warriors."

The clans erupted into cheers for the three new warriors. Looking over to the Thunderclan group he spotted a kind looking blue grey she cat sitting besides a gray she cat.

Smallstar awaited for the clans to finish and went on with news. "We bring our new apprentices known as Hollypaw and Snowpaw." The clans cheered for the new apprentices.

"But I also must announce that Oakfur has sadly died and I announce my new deputy is Willowfrost. "Darkstorm looked over to the deputies and saw the familiar pale fur he saw moons ago.

Willowfrost was the same cat that he saw when he first met Deerfur. Ignoring it he watched as Stoneheart took Adderstar's place on the rock.

"Squirrelface had to retire due to a terrible wound and Adderstar has lost his last life, and my deputy is skunkpelt." Darkstorm watched as the leader's looked at eachother before Morningstar spoke.

"Tho you are young I'm sure you'll make an amazing leader." The other leaders murmured in agreement and watched as Stonestar announced clan news.

"I am now named as Stonestar the new leader of Windclan and our medicine cat Daisypaw is now known as Daisyprint." The cheered for both Stonestar and Daisyprint.

"We also had three new warriors. Medowfall, Mistydream, and Whitefang all earned their warrior names. We also bring two new apprentices known as Blackpaw, and Featherpaw."

The clans cheered once again. Darkstorm's throat burned after so much cheering but he was ready for Morningstar's announcement.

Stonestar back away and watched as Morningstar took his place. "Shadowclan welcomes three new warriors known as Frostfury, Woodheart, and Appleshade."

The clan let out cheers once again and waited patiently to see if she had any other news. "We also have three new apprentices. Welcome Lemurpaw, Wolfpaw, and Icepaw as they train to become warriors."

The clans cheered for the new apprentices and gave them encouraging glances. "I'm also pleased to announce a new litter of kits is on the way."

The clans murmured in approval as Morningstar back away. Fishstar jumped from the high rock and led his clan away. Understanding the other leaders took their clans away from the hallow.

Padding besides his apprentice Darkstorm noticed she looked happy. "You meet any interesting cats?" Darkstorm questioned curious about who apprentice talked to.

"Yeah I talked to Featherpaw of windclan and his littermate Blackpaw they told me how they both caught a Rabbit on their first day as an apprentice."

Darkstorm purred in amusement after hearing his apprentice getting along with others. "Next time tell them you caught a fox they'll actually belive it."

Lemurpaw looked up to Darkstorm in shock. "But lying is bad Hazelflower told me so." Darkstorm rolled his eyes impressed she knew not to lie.

"Well sometimes it's ok to lie. It could potentially save your life during battle." Lemurpaw looked at him in surprise. "Really?" Darkstorm nodded a bit surprised his apprentice didn't know that.

"How about tomorrow we practice that." Lemurpaw looked at Darkstorm in surprise. "Are we going into battle soon?" Darkstorm realized with amusement his apprentice thought they were going to battle.

"No its a peaceful time for the clans I doubt there's going to be a battle any time soon." Lemurpaw seemed a bit more calm as his words and kept walking.

When they got back to camp Lemurpaw and her littermates all ran to the apprentice den probably exhausted or their probably gonna talk.

Exhausted himself Darkstorm went into the warrior's den. Quickly finding his nest he fell asleep. He woke up back I'm the forest. He hasn't seen it in so long.

Looking around he spotted bloodstream staring in a starry place. "Bloodstream are you ok?" The red she cat didn't look away. A bit concerned Darkstorm padded over to see kits playing.

Darkstorm looked over Bloodstream and saw nothing but love flooding her blue eyes. Remembering what Daydream said he felt sympathy for the she cat.

The kits seemed to notice bloodstream and all padded over excited. "Bloodstream you came! Are you gonna tell us about Wavefur and how he helped you catch that fish?"

Darkstorm looked at Bloodstream with surprise and watched as she nodded. He watched as the kits all sat down in a straight line. Once they settled down Bloodstream layed on the cold ground.

"Well let's begin you see me and Wavefur were meant to catch a fish for leafbare. I managed to catch one but it was the largest fish you ever saw. I struggled to get it up but Wavefur helped me."

The kits all looked at Bloodstream with a mix of curiosity and excitement. "We manged to catch the fish but Wavefur fell into the water."

The kits all began to get restless. A pale brown tabby looked at Bloodstream with fear "did he survive tho?" A dark gray kit looked at the tabby with shock.

"Yes he did dear Jumpkit as I mentioned in the last story time Wavefur was basically a fish." Jumpkit sighed with relief and the kits all settled down again as Bloodstream continued the story.

"I was worried for Wavefur but I soon saw him swimming back. He returned back with a fish but he got sick." The kits all cheered with excitement."

Bloodstream seemed to melt with love just watching the kits. "Well little ones it's time for you to go back." The kits groaned but they all understood.

One by one the kits all left but only Jumpkit remained. Bloodstream noticed and knew what to do. "What is it Jumpkit?" The small kit shuffled her paws but found her words.

"I was wondering when the next story time is so I can tell the other kits." Bloodstream nodded with understanding and smiled "it's going to happen during the next half moon kit."

Jumpkit understood and left. Once she was gone Bloodstream looked at Darkstorm with a cold glance. "You finally have an apprentice but you need to be deputy."

Darkstorm backed away a bit surprised at her change of attitude. "I'm trying Bloodstream but Chippedclaw is the deputy I can't change that."

Bloodstream snorted with annoyance as she walked away. "You can't do anything but I can."
