Chapter 42

Darkstar looked at Willowstar with confusion as the she cat had a calm expression on her face. Robinstar was the first to question her decision.

"Willowstar what are you saying? Did the cat commit a crime?" The ginger leader kept questioning the tabby until she held her tail up for him to quiet down.

"It wasn't my decision, Smallstar banished them before he died and the reason was because they broke the warrior code." Stonestar gave Robinstar a Confused glance and looked back to Willowstar.

"And who was this cat that was banished?" Darkstar listened curious about who it was. "It was Tigerlilly." Yowls of shock went through the clans but to Darkstar he felt something else.

It felt like his heart was shattered as he listened to the cats reasoning. "I caught her with a cat from another clan. However it was to dark to see who it was."

Darkstar felt his blood run cold when he realized Willowstar was talking about their meeting from last moon. "It turns out those kits she was carrying were half clan."

Robinstar looked at Willowstar with disgust and hissed. "Those kits probably wouldn't even know what blood they have and you dare banish them?"

Stonestar growled and stared at Willowstar. "For once I agree with Robinstar, those kits lives are ruined now. Smallstar is a terrible leader to do this."

Willowstar remained silent as she had an expressionless face. "Why should I let that traitor go unpunished when she betrayed her clan?"

Darkstar watched at Stonestar's fur bristled and Robinstar began to speak. "So?! It's just kits they would've put their clan that they were born in first especially since the mother wanted to keep the father a secret."

Willowstar rolled her eyes and backed away. "It was a good decision no matter what." Darkstar watched as Thunderclan began to move away from the other clans ignoring the warnings.

"We also have a new apprentice Ravenpaw, our new deputy is rainboweyes" Darkstar recognized the name of Tigerlilly's littermate and sighed.

He looked to see who the new apprentice was and saw it was Mousecoal's kit. The clans cheered since it wouldn't seem fair to not cheer for him due to the past leaders mistakes.

Once the clans quieted down it went back to thick tension and awkward silence for Smallstar's decision to excile an expecting queen without a trial or something.

Quickly to stop the tension Darkstar stepped up. "Shadowclan would like to go next." Robinstar and Stonestar murmured in agreement as Darkstar began to announce the news.

"We have two new apprentices, Orangepaw, and Firepaw." The clans called out the names for the new apprentices however Thunderclan was quiet.

Shaking it off he continued with what he had to say. "Prey is running well and the clan is thriving." The clans murmured in calm mews as he sat back down.

Stonestar went next and spoke in a calm voice as if he wasn't angry at all. "Windclan is also doing well despite an increase in twoleg's."

Darkstar observed the Windclan leader as he spoke and saw how his ribs poked out. Windclan cats were skinny but not to the point they look like there starving.

Ignoring it he watched as Robinstar stood to announce Riverclan news. " the fish are running well and twoleg's seemed to stop coming by to swim in the water."

The riverclan leader seemed happy at that idea and stepped back. Before any cat could mingle Willowstar yowled for her clan. "Thunderclan it's time to go."

Thunderclan seemed reluctant to leave but obeyed their leader seeing how they left Darkstar decided it was time to leave at well He mewed his goodbyes to the other leaders and led his clanmates home.

When they got back to camp those who were awake began to ask questions about the gathering. Darkstar watched as Woodheart explained the situation in Thunderclan.

When she finished explaining he had to stop them and explain how it was late and those who went to the gathering are exhausted.

When his clan began to head over to their dens he went over to his own den and curled up in his nest. Fury flowed through him as Willowstars words repeated in his head.

Tigerlilly said she was nice once you get to know her. But instead she's a fox hearted fool. Ignoring the chirps of the crickets he forced himself to try and sleep.

By the time he fell asleep the sun was already rising and sleep wasn't an easy thing for him that night. He stretched and padded over to the entrance.

He exited his den and sat outside of it. He looked around and saw movement from the warrior's den It was most likely dawn patrol. Sighing he looked at the milky pink sky and began to think.

Thunderclan ruined his life and Tigerlilly didn't bother to visit him when she was exiled. He felt his blood boil when he thought about an idea he had.

He should get revenge on Thunderclan. He was already getting revenge on Riverclan for bloodstream why not add Thunderclan to the mix.

He also thought about it and decided to not get revenge on Tigerlilly by hurting her but instead get revenge on her by hurting her kits.

They were something he looked forward to but now they were the main cause for her abandonment. Vengeance flowed through him, he was a leader so he had lives to spare.

No matter what happens or whoever stands in his way Darkstar will get his revenge. It doesn't matter if he causes harm to others he will get his revenge.

He looked around and sneered when he saw Woodheart getting plump. Maybe he start by getting revenge on her first, sure she it his friends sister.

But she is a traitor and she will pay for it. He took one last glance at the sky and watched the birds fly by. Revenge is the thing Darkstar wants.

Even if he dies trying to get it he will use every life until he gets its.
