Ainslie was officially five years old! It was her was birthday and she was so excited. She was wiggling around happily in her seat as a maid fixed her long, blonde hair. "Darling, please, settle down," The maid, Lucy, begged. "Sorry, Ms. Lucy! I'm just so excited!" Ainslie had a very wide vocabulary for her age and was extremely intelligent. Logan was her tutor and often expressed praised Roman and Virgil for her intelligence. Lucy smiled kindly at the little girl, fixing her hair to where she had a "braid crown" as Ainslie liked to call it. "Thank you, Ms. Lucy! I gotta go find daddy and papa now!" Ainslie jumped down and ran out of her bedroom.

She said hi to the guards as she passed them, she was a favorite in the castle. She finally made it to Roman's and Virgil's room and jumped up to grab the handle to no avail. She heard a laugh behind her before she was grabbed up off the floor. She screamed before laughing, "Uncle Remus!" She yelled laughing loudly.

Remus threw her up in the air, "Happy birthday, lovebug!" Ainslie laughed and clapped her hands. Remus opened the bedroom door and sat Ainslie down, "Go walk up your dads, I'm gunna go get your present!" Remus said as Ainslie ran into the room.

She jumped up on the bed and fell down onto Roman's chest. "Daddy! Daddy!" She called out, bouncing on his chest. Roman grumbled and opened his eyes before smiling. He tickled Ainslie and she yelled, giggling. She woke up Virgil with her laughing, who grumbled and complained quietly before smiling at his daughter. "It's my birthday!" She yelled causing Roman and Virgil to laugh. "We know! Are you excited for your party?" Virgil asked sitting up. "Yeah!"

Ainslie jumped off the bed and started pulling on Roman's hand, "C'mon! C'mon!" Roman laughed and nodded, "Okay, okay, how about you go find Uncle Remus while
we get ready?" Ainslie smiled brightly and nodded. "Okay! He said he had a present for me!" The couple laughed as Ainslie ran out the room.

Roman looked over at Virgil with a smile, "Good morning, my darling," Virgil yawned and held his arms open. Roman smiled and wrapped his arms around Virgil's waist, pulling him close. "Morning, Ro," Roman pressed a kiss to Virgil's forehead then his lips. "You ready to get up?" Virgil yawned again before nodding and getting out of bed.
________
"Wow!" Ainslie said as she opened another gift. Roman, Virgil, Remus, Logan, Patton, Janus, Arthur and Eleanor watched her open her gifts happily.

She jumped up and clapped, going thank her family when she suddenly started to glow. Roman and Virgil jumped up and Roman ran over to her. "Daddy, look! I really am the light of your life!" Logan could be heard sighing before walking over, "At least we know she's okay, and that Patton has been rubbing off on her." Logan fixed his glasses and studied Ainslie, "I've read about this," Roman looked at Logan, blinking slowly. "You've read about glowing children?" Logan sighed and shook his head. "No, Roman, I've read about magic child. Normally child who carry powers are extremely intelligent and advanced for their age, much like Ainslie is. Typically they learn about their powers anywhere from five to seven, Ainslie is a quick leaner," Logan explained.

"My kid is a witch?" Virgil asked walking up. "No, not a witch. Witches use books and wands, Ainslie clearly doesn't need that." Virgil raised his eyebrow to Logan, "So what is she?" Logan shrugged, "I'm not sure, I'll do more research on the matter, but until then, my best guess is she's a Glowing Fauna Elf." Roman and Virgil shared a look. "I shall elaborate, Fauna Elves are elves that can speak to and interact with animals, and well the glowing part is self explanatory," He said motioning to the still glowing child. "I will research more thoroughly but until then, congratulations, it is quite remarkable." Logan said before smiling at Ainslie, "Maybe I should have gotten you a pet for your birthday instead, so you could practice?" Ainslie clapped and her glowing stopped, "I want a bunny!" Logan chuckled and looked at Roman and Virgil, "I'm taking her with me."
_________
"Only we would get an elf for a kid," Virgil said sitting on Roman's desk in their room, looking down at Roman who was sitting properly at the desk. "We always said she was something special," Roman said with a slight shrug continuing to work on his papers. Virgil smiled some and nodded.

"I'm an elf!" The parents jumped at the sudden loudness their daughter brought as she swung the door open with Logan behind her. "She's remarkable." Logan said simply, a proud smile resting on his lips.
