Twenty five-The end

This is extremely short, I had no clue how to end it :)

Roman looked at Virgil with a small smile. Virgil returned that smile. They held hands as they watched Logan give a speech about Ainslie. It felt like just yesterday they were in this same situation for when Roman became king. And now here they are watching their daughter become queen.

Ainslie was ruling alone, for now, she hadn't found love and didn't want to meet any suitors. She, like her father, wanted love to come naturally.

After Logan's speech was finished, Roman took his crown off and set it on the pillow Logan had in his hands. His crown would held in a glass case until Ainslie found a partner to rule with.

Ainslie was on her knees in front of Virgil as he placed his crown on her head with a smile. Logan swore her in and the crowd clapped and cheered. Virgil gave her a big smile when she stood up, they shared a hug before Ainslie hugged Roman.

She turned to the crowd and spoke to them, promising to rule like her fathers.

Virgil plopped down on their bed, their last night in the class before moving into their new, non-castle home. Virgil had tears in his eyes that Roman wiped away before holding him close. "What's the matter, baby?" Roman asked softly. Virgil sniffed and wiped his eyes. "I don't know, I'm so proud of Ainslie, I'm not also sad to see us leaving this chapter in life. I miss when we were young," Roman chuckled some, "Baby, we're only in our 40s," Virgil just sighed and nodded. "Promise me we'll stay the same? Even though we're not ruling?" Roman smiled softly, "My love for you is forever, sweetheart. I'll love you no matter what, no matter where we are, or what is happening." Virgil cried a little harder at Roman's words.

"I think I'm ready for our next chapter." Roman smiled and kissed Virgil deeply. "If I'm with you, I'm always ready." Virgil laughed some and kissed Roman again. "What's funny?" Roman asked. Virgil just smiled and said,

"Just thinking how my life changed, all because I had love for a prince."
