Q & A

So I've been getting a lot of questions/messages recently about this fic, a lot of them were the same questions so I thought it would be easier to just put them all together here and answer them so everyone can see :) If you have any more questions, just message me or comment and I will happily answer them!

1) Will there be a sequel to Katy?

I haven't got anything planned as it was just part of a series that I'm doing. The second book in the series is called 'Janie' and is an Ashton fic but isn't really linked with Katy. Maybe in the future I might do something linked with Katy but for now, no, sorry. However, I've been thinking about rewriting the whole thing - not changing anything, just extending it as this was a short story so I MIGHT go into detail with it all a lot more. That would mean it will be about 60/70 chapters long rather than 20 and you would be able to get to know each character more and I might add Katy's life BEFORE Luke at the start.

2) Will you be writing another Luke fanfic?

Yeah, for sure. I'm starting a new Luke fic in a week or so, called 'Lightning'. I posted the prologue TODAY, so feel free to check that out. 

3) Can you explain chapter 19 to me? It confuses me because is it a time lapse or something?

Chapter 19 is 6 months after Chapter 18 as it says at the beginning of the chapter. In Chapter 19, Lorraine is finishing up reading Katy's novel, which is in fact about her journey and relationship during the time she met and was with Luke.

4) Do you feel that this story is a bit cliche though? 

Sure, I mean it is a bit cliche but that's the type of story I wanted to write. I like writing and reading things that are just that bit unrealistic. It's just what I and many other people like. But I feel that 'Lightning' will not be cliche. I don't feel like going down that route as much, so if you want the non-cliche type then my next fic will be your thing, for sure.

5) Why did you rush the whole thing?

It's a short story. It was a problem from the beginning as I wanted to include SO much but I knew I had to stick to the basic and simple side of things. Hence why I am thinking about writing a longer version for this book.

6) Why did you make out Ashton to be an asshole?

It was Katy's view on him. She had so much hate for him that she didn't give him the chance to explain nor did she want to hear it. I feel like she's the kind of person who wants to know the truth but once she does, she can't take it and is blinded by her hatred. I mean, Ashton left her without saying goodbye. No word at all. Of course she's going to hate him.

7) Which Chapter was your favorite?

I have a few favourites, actually. Eight for sure, because it was just her and her thoughts. I liked writing that chapter to be honest. But I also liked Chapter 19 and 20, because believe it or not my favourite part of a book is the ending. You've got to have a good ending, otherwise it ruins the whole book.

8) Do you miss writing Katy?

Yeah, absolutely. I enjoyed writing this book so much. I updated everyday because ideas and quotes just kept coming and coming. 

9) What are you working on just now that Katy is finished?

I'm currently writing 'Janie', an Ashton fic, but that's almost finished too. Originally I was going to finish my series with michael and calum fics but I've decided to put the series on hold. My next focus will be 'Lightning' and then once that one is finished too, I will continue with the series by doing Calum and Michael fics.
