"So did she get over him eventually?" Lorraine asked as she looked at me intently, while holding the manuscript of my self-written book that I am hoping will be published.

I paused for a moment, before replying, "I guess, but if he came back, I think she'd still feel the same way as she did before," I explained. Lorraine nodded as she wrote something down.

"And the guy," she paused quizzically, "what did he end up doing after that? Does he still love her?"

I shrugged lightly, "I don't know, I'd like to think that he does, but as you can see it's been a while," I said quietly.

"And what about the ending? She said she wrote because she wanted a happy ending, but well, did she?" Lorraine asked excitedly. Clearly she liked my work and found it interesting.

I shrugged before looking down at my feet, "I guess not, but I mean it's not quite finished yet," I croaked out.

"It's crazy, she started off so carefree - which later on you realise was a cover up - and then slowly, after a period of time, turned into this person who moved to a different continent, started her dream job, but still felt so empty and lost." She said in a sad tone. And she was right, it is crazy how in such a short space of time someone can go from being overly confident and carefree to someone who is lost and has this feeling of emptiness which somehow consumes her.

And what's even crazier is that, that person is me.

This book is about me and Luke.

Lorraine knows it, she's just being polite and only trying to focus on the story...

The book follows my journey from the first time Luke and I introduced ourselves, until a few months ago. Although, I am yet to write the ending.

"I'll publish it, just as soon as you write the ending," she smiled. "I hope it's a happy one," she said, and I could tell that she wasn't just talking about the book.

So the next chapter is in fact the last one :(
