week 2

"Hi, babe" Luke said in a sleepy voice over the phone.

"Hey, how was the concert?" I asked. They're in New York right now, they've been away for almost two weeks.

"It was so great, but I'm super tired now," he yawned. "We met some fans earlier, and they asked about you."

"Really?" I asked in a surprised tone.

"Yeah, they first asked how you were, and then asked me to confirm if we're together," he laughed. "Oh and they said that you're super pretty." I felt the heat rise in my cheeks.

"That's nice of them," I giggled.

There was a moment of silence before Luke spoke.

"So how are things? Is work ok?"

"It's only been over a week, I'm not breaking down because of the lack of your presence just yet, but I do miss you like crazy, oh, and my aunt says hello by the way, she was asking about you last night."

"Awww," he cooed. "I miss you too, just three more weeks until I get to hug you again and kiss the shit out of you, and tell her I say hey," he chuckled before yawning once again.

"You should get some sleep," I said quietly, "I have to head back to work soon, I'm on my break," I explained.

"Ok babe, I'll speak to you tomorrow. Love you,"

"Love you too," I smiled, before ending the call.

We spoke on the phone for at least three hours after every concert, and I would always wake up to a bunch of texts from Luke - some of which were also from the boys taking the piss out of Luke, too.

I spent the week with Sidney and Jess, as they came back to visit. Malerie gave me the week off work as someone new is going to be swapping shifts with me.

As I finished making coffee for myself and Jess, my phone started to ring.

It was Luke.

"Heyyy," I said in a sleepy tone.

"Hi babe," Luke said quietly. "I can't believe how incredible everyone is on tour," Luke said. I smiled at the thought of him smiling like a big kid right now.

"Glad everything is going well. Is it how you expected it to be?"

"Yeah, and better." He said excitedly. "I just wish you were here," he sighed as I looked over to my laptop, checking my Twitter. My notifications were full of the boys' fans, asking for a follow back and questions about Luke and such. I followed a few people back before checking Luke's recent tweets. They were mostly about the places he was in and the concerts, with the exception of a few, which were directed to me.

@. Luke5SOS: @. ItsKatyLana I love and miss you. Wish you were here :-( xx

I smiled to myself, mentally awing at his cuteness. "Yeah, me too, but hey I'm hoping this publishing thing will fall through,"

"Oh yeah! Make sure to let me know when you get a reply," Luke rushed excitedly before laughing at something, then telling Calum to stop.

"What's going on there?" I chuckled.

"Calum is trying to hug the shit out of me right now,"

"HE SAID HE MISSES YOU SO I THOUGHT I'D BE YOU AND HUG HIM BECAUSE YOU TWO ARE INSEPERABLE WHEN YOU'RE WITH HIM" Calum shouted through the phone as I laughed.

"Ok, well please don't steal my boyfriend from me completely," I joked. "I want him back when you're done touring thank you very much," I laughed and they all joined in.

"I'm not promising you anything!" Calum shouted before Luke told him to leave him alone.

"So where are you now?" I asked.

"LA, and we're here for three more days. Wait, I wanna facetime you," he said and so we did.

"Only three more days until you're home," I stated, smiling to myself.

"Yeah..." Luke hesitated. "I mean, about that," he sighed, I could see what was coming next.

"You're not.. coming back, are you?" I asked, sighing heavily trying not to cry as I looked at him. Guilt was shown clear in his features and his eyes suddenly glossed over.

"I'm so sorry, babe, it's just that the journey from here to Sydney and back, would take up most of my time, leaving only half a day to see you," he apologised.

"Hey, don't worry, I understand," I smiled, trying to reassure him that it was ok. Although, it wasn't ok. I wasn't ok, but I didn't want him to know that. "But anyway, I should get going, I have to get to work," I lied, as I yawned.

"Right," he sighed heavily, "I love you, Katy, have a nice day,"

"I love you too," I replied, before ending the call. I tried not to let the tears escape, before walking into the living room.

"He's not coming home to visit, is he?" My aunt asked as she embraced me into a hug.

"No," I sobbed into her sweater. "I didn't think it would be this hard," I choked out.

"Shh, it's okay," she sighed, "he'll be back before you know it."
