Before I left the coffee shop, Leah gave me a piece of paper. On it, was Luke's number. I texted him straight away as I figured that I would need to give him my address.
I decided to wear a pair of black jeans and a gray knitted sweater with a pair of black leather chelsea boots. I had no idea where Luke and I were going so I just chose something that I would be comfortable in.
There was a light knock at the door, I rushed towards the door before swinging it open. Luke was stood there, in a pair of black jeans, his usual black vans and a band shirt, The Offspring, to be exact.
"Hi, you ready?" He asked, and I nodded before saying goodbye to my aunt and uncle, then leaving with Luke. We walked down the driveway a little until we reached a black SUV.
"Is this yours?" I asked, but Luke shook his head. I looked at him with confusion for a moment.
"It's my brother's," he looked at me, "his name is Jack. I have another brother too, his name is Ben.' Luke explained and I smiled at the fact that Luke was content with giving me this information.
"What about you? Do you have any siblings?" He asked as he held the door open for me, I looked down before shaking my head, then getting into the car. Luke shut the door then quickly jogged round to the driver's side. He slid onto his seat, shut the door, and then started the engine.
"You cold?" He asked, looking over to me as he pulled out of the driveway. I shook my head, and silence loomed over us, the only thing that could be heard was the tires rolling along the loose gravel of the road.
Luke's grip on the steering wheel loosened as he used one hand to control the cd player. Moments later, a song by one of my favourite bands came on - Kids in Love by Mayday Parade.
"I love this song!" I squealed as he was about to change the song.
Luke looked at me, before putting his hand back on the steering wheel. "So, you like Mayday Parade?" He asked, a smirk played on his lips.
"One of my favourite bands to date," I confirmed. "I love them so much," I beamed.
"Me too, their music is so good," Luke said, I nodded in agreement.
"Where are we going?" I asked curiously.
"Well I didn't want to overdo it so we're just going to go grab some food and then I have an idea in mind."
"Sounds good," I smiled.
"Cool. So, do you live with both of your parents?" He asked. This was a very touchy subject, but Luke told me about his family, so I should tell him about mine.
"No," I begun, "My parents left me when I was three. They left me with my aunt and uncle, and I've lived with them ever since." I explained as I stared out of the window.
"I'm sorry," Luke sighed. I looked over to him as he placed his hand on mine. I hesitated before pulling away. I felt bad, but I'm not used to this.
"It's okay," I said quietly. "I can't exactly be sad about it because I don't remember them, I only remember what I've been told."

" How can you eat that?" I asked, scrunching my nose up at the cheesy mess he had.
"It's my favourite! How can you not like it?" He gasped.
"It has way too much cheese on it! It looks disgusting!" I argued, before taking a bite out of my beefburger.
"Well, it tastes amazing," He pouted as I laughed.
"Whatever," I waved him off. "What is your plan after this?"
"I was thinking about going for a walk on the beach, it's my favourite place to be, to be honest" he said, and I nodded eagerly.
"Same here, well, as well as Leah's," We both laughed in sync.

"So, why did it take you so long to ask me out?" I asked as we started walking along the beach.
"I don't know, I guess I was just nervous. I mean, you're so closed off, you don't exactly show any sort of emotion - apart from when I constantly annoy you," he laughed, I joined in with him. "I just had this horrible feeling that if I asked you, then you would turn me down, or worse, you'd laugh at me and never talk to me again, and that was something I was afraid to risk, but I guess today I found the courage to approach you properly, and the outcome was better than expected," he grinned.
"Oh," I nodded, smiling slightly. "I'm closed off, and come across as emotionless because I don't want to be readable. I don't want people thinking that they know me, just because of the way they see me, you know?" I ask, looking over to him as we walked across the beach.
"I get it, but, don't be afraid to open up to someone," he smiled as I looked down.
We walked in silence a little further, until we reached a wall. Luke lifted me up, then jumped, pulling himself up. I giggled as I saw his face turning red from the struggle. Eventually he was up and sitting next to me, shoulder to shoulder.
He sighed before speaking, "beautiful, isn't it," he said as he looked over the sea. I nodded in agreement, even though he wasn't looking at me. The sky was a bright red/pinky colour, and blended into a purple/blue as it got higher. The sunset reflected on the ocean, it really was beautiful. "Why are you always writing?" He suddenly asked, looking back at me.
I paused for a few moments, before shrugging and giving him my answer, "I guess, I just want a happy ending," I said quietly, and for a moment, I did let my guard down.
"Well," he begun, "it's not the end yet," he said, just as quietly, before picking my hand up gently, then intertwining it with his. My breath hitched in my throat as I stared at our intertwined hands, before smiling.
"What do you like to do?" I asked, looking up at him. It was getting a little darker now, but the light that was still there lit his eyes up.
"I play guitar," he smiled, "and I write songs" He finished.
"That's cool, I've always wanted to learn how to play the guitar."
"I could teach you sometime," he said cheerfully, I giggled, agreeing with him.
Suddenly, he looked down at me, slowly bringing his other hand to my chin, lifting it up and locking his eyes with mine. I froze, I knew what was coming next but didn't know how to react. He leaned in closer, and closer, before gently kissing my lips.
And for the rest of the night, we just sat there, for what felt like forever, talking about the most random things while the sound of waves washed against the shore, until the sky was a dark blue and the moon was lighting up the blue of Luke's eyes, and for the first time in a while, I felt content.
