•Matteo Rossi•

"Good morning," Aria basically sang as I woke up. She took Bean from where he was laying and handed him to me as I lean over to kiss her.
"Buongiorno, melodia," I reply, petting Bean on the stomach. It was his loud meowing that had woken me up. He might be hungry but his feeder is automatic so he probably already ate but pretty much all he does all day is eat, sleep, and play with Aria.
Once her work found out what had happened, they gave her a few extra days off so she has been staying home with me. "What are you doing today?" she asks.
"I have to go into the office today. I have two meetings, I should be home by six," I tell her.
Her smile fades and she takes Bean away from me. "But I thought you were going to stay home," she says sadly, hugging Bean who hugs her back. He's a really weird cat.
"I know, sweetheart, I am sorry, but Allegra texted me this last night after you fell asleep and told me that I can't reschedule them." I explain to her. She sighs deeply. If I could be home with her all day, I would.
"Okay, then," she sighs, getting off of the bed and heading for the restroom. Once she gets out, I go in and start to get ready.
It honestly doesn't take me long so I head downstairs to find her and her brother, Luca, already in the kitchen. She smiles when she sees me, then leads me to the dining room with two plates in her hands.
"Here you go," she says, placing mine at the head of the table and the other one further down the table, leaving one seat between me and that plate.
"Thank you, sweetheart. Are you not going to sit and eat too?" I ask curiously, grabbing her hand and pulling her closer.
She smiles, "I am, I'm just about to go get my plate. That's Luca's plate but he refuses to be in the same room as you alone. He says you're scary." she tells me with a giggle. That same little giggle that makes my heart race.
"Why are you telling on me? You're a bitch for that!" I hear from Luca in the kitchen. I don't like anyone talking to Aria like that, and I won't let anyone, not even if it's her brother but when I hear her laugh as a response, I wait for what she will say.
"Shut the fuck up, dumbass!" Aria yells back, walking towards the kitchen. She looks adorable, her little tank top with her pajama shorts that match my pajama pants that I already changed out of as she walks out with what seems like a little waddle.
They walk back in not a minute later as if nothing happened. Aria sits next to me with her plate and Luca sits on her other side. "My sister is lying to you. I am not scared of you." He states, taking a sip of the coffee in front of him.
"He's lying I have the texts to prove it!" Aria exclaims cutely, getting her phone from the top of the table.
Luca grabs the phone from her, "That was before. Now that I have met you, it's not the same." he tells me.
"What do you mean?" I ask him.
"I have heard a lot about you. There is a lot to fear in a man who is said to essentially run the country." He explains to me.
"Understandable," I reply.
We spend about half an hour eating and talking before I have to leave or I will be what other people consider late. It's my company I make the times whenever I want but they still consider me late.
I actually don't know what my first meeting is about it was just labeled 'Alessandro & Matteo Rossi'.
As soon as I get to the building, the secretary in front checks me in after I order her to and head to the room where this meeting is taking place. But what I find in there is not what I thought I would.
It is just Aless, Allegra, Sofia, Lia, and Rafi.
"What the fuck are you all doing here?" I ask them.
"We need to talk to you," Aless says, pointing to a seat in the room. I cautiously walk over to the seat and sit on it, looking around as everyone stares at me.
They're all just looking at me. "We need to talk to you because this is getting out of hand. You have to tell Aria about the mafia. It has been 6 months already since you have known each other. You guys are in too deep and if she reacts badly, it will shatter both of you." Sofia tells me, her voice calm but firm.
I roll my eyes, my arms crossing and I lean back in my seat. "You are all overreacting. I still have time." I tell them.
They all either scoff or groan, most of them rolling their eyes.
"Matteo, Laura told you herself that she will most likely react badly. And you know exactly why. The sooner you tell her the more likely she is to forgive you sooner and then we can all move past this." Allegra tells me, almost demanding me to tell Aria the truth.
But I don't think I can right now, I don't think I will be able to handle her leaving me. I know I will get her back, she is mine no matter what happens or where we are in life, but I need her now more than ever.
I sigh, "I can't tell her right now," I say.
"Matteo you are being selfish," Aless exclaims, sounding frustrated. "You are holding onto her for longer just so you can have her while you need her but if you had just told her even two months ago maybe you might already have her back and this wouldn't even be an issue now!" he screams at me, things starting to get out of hand.
"And don't you think that it would be better to tell her sooner?" Lia asks.
"Oh you're one to talk!" I reply quickly, nothing but anger clouding my mind, my normally level mind having no control over anything coming out of my mouth. "You hid your relationship from all of us for a year and even your engagement. And now you're pregnant. That was not fair to Aless at all, and he acts like he is okay with it but he is still mad at you!"
Everyone in the room is looking at me as if I had just said the worst thing anyone could ever say and as I look over to Lia, she looks like she is about to cry. "That is not fair, Matteo. What we were hiding was not something that could potentially ruin someone's life!" Rafi yells at me, wrapping an arm around my little sister and leading her out of my room.
"I am not going to ruin her life," I say harshly before they can exit the room.
"Oh my fucking gosh, Matteo. See, Allegra I told you he would react like this," Aless accuses. I turn to look to them again, they all look mad.
Allegra gasps, looking at Aless like she wants to kill him. "And how the fuck is that my fault?" She screams at him.
"I never said that it was!" he screams back.
Predictably, they had fallen apart. When I make a team, I make sure things go right and I have people that can handle everything thrown at them. They all fell apart within five minutes of me being here.
I quickly leave the room without them noticing since they were arguing and head back to my office. In the free hour that I had before my next meeting, I answered emails and mamma called me to tell me that she was at the estate to invite Aria to go shopping with her.
Once in the meeting, I set up the presentation and started giving it. It was only a two hour meeting and I was only running the first half of it.
However, as I was almost done with my portion of the meeting, my phone starts ringing and it's Aria. "Scusi," I say to everyone in the room before answering the phone. "Sì, melodia?"
"Hi," she says sweetly. "How is your day going?" she asks.
For a long moment, I cannot help but think she called to tell me that Aless or someone had already told her the truth and she was leaving me, however as the conversation grows, I quickly learn that I am wrong.
"It is going well, sweetheart. Is something wrong?" I ask her.
"No, nothing wrong. I just wanted to ask you something." she begins, sounding nervous. "So I'm out shopping with mamma, and there's this dress that I really want to get, but I forgot that I took my wallet out of my purse. Is it okay if I use your card to pay for it?" she asks me, sounding very nervous. I seriously need to spoil this girl more.
A chuckle escapes my lips, "Of course you can, melodia. Buy whatever you want," I tell her.
"It's a little above my normal price range for a dress though," she says.
"How much is it?" I ask her, expecting her to say some ridiculously low price.
And a low price is exactly what she says, "200 euro," she says, what sounds like a wince coming out after as well.
I scoff, "Buy whatever you want, have fun shopping, you don't need to ask my permission for every single thing you buy, and how about tomorrow I take you to a spa and you can just relax for the day?" I suggest to her. She deserves it, a spa day for her is the least I could do.
"What? No, you don't have to do that," she says frantically.
"Don't argue me on it, sweetheart, you deserve it. Now, I have to go I am in the middle of running a meeting," I tell her, remembering I have a room of men staring at me and listening to my conversation with my girlfriend.
I can hear her gasp, "Oh my gosh! You should have told me. I didn't know you were in a meeting! Next time just shut me up and hang up on me!" she says, her voice frantic and almost scared sounding.
I laugh, "Never. I love talking to you. Bye, sweetheart. I love you." I say to her.
"Bye honey, I love you too," she says softly, hanging up on me.
I turn back to everyone, they're all looking at me weirdly but I just ignore it and continue on.
Someone tried to question my relationship with Aria and I had them removed from the meeting. That's none of anyone's business and especially with nosey people and news outlets paying for any piece of information they can get, nothing is safe.
And I know those things upset Aria and I try to prevent that as much as I can. I just want my girl to be happy.
When the meeting finished, I went back to my office and kept working on my computer when I get a text from Aria.
