•The Twins Weddings•

•Lorenzo Rossi•

I look in the mirror and adjust my tie as well as I can. When my dad told me I was going to marry Elsie, I almost had a fucking heart attack.
The way I was raised with my parents being possibly the most in love people on this planet and it was not an arranged marriage made me think that they would never do it for me. But they did.
My mom was not particularly happy about it, but with the way things are we had no other choice.
Papà says that if he really wants to keep Antoine Allard happy then I have to marry his daughter. He is the leader of the french and he has been trying to set this up for a while and since my father kept denying he got upset which put my father in a difficult business position.
But now Elsie and I are to be married and I will treat her with respect. It's not either of our faults we ended up here and she is going to be my wife now, I will only treat her well.
My dad walks up to me and clasps my shoulder, "You will do great," he says to me, making me smile.
"Grazie, papà," I say, turning around to hug him. My dad has always been someone I look up to. He has been the best father I could ever ask for and now that I am to be don in three years, I know he will be by my side through it all.
Mamma walks in with nonna, my fathers mother, and nonno, my mothers father. Mamma sees me and smiles, running up to hug me. "I am so proud of you," she says to me, "You will do great." she says.
My mom is very optimistic. She has decided to take the best out of this situation and said that she hopes this marriage will turn into something other than a legal binding.
In the short time Elsie and I have been engaged, mamma has already managed to get close to her. I think it is a good thing since Elsie will be my wife within the next fifteen minutes. It is good for her to have a close relationship to my mother.
"It is almost time," My nonna says, before giving me a quick hug.
"Are you nervous?" My nonno asks me.
I shake my head, shrugging, "Not really. Well, sì. But not much." I tell them. They all smile at me.
Nonno and nonna have to leave to find their seats but mamma and papà will be walking me down the aisle because they wanted to. My little sister, Addie, is the flower girl, my twin brother, Leo is my best man, and my other brother Marco is my other groomsman.
All I know is that Elsie's best friend is her maid of honor and one of her cousins is her other bridesmaids. Elsie is an only child which is so weird to me. I cannot imagine not having siblings, they are all my best friends and I cannot imagine my life without them.
Leo is my literal built in best friend and the biggest goofball I know. He is super funny and always makes me laugh, plus he is really good at making people feel better when they are upset.
Like the first time I had to kill someone. It was to protect Addie, and I thought I would be ready with everything I have seen and been through and done, but it was still hard to process.
Anyways, my father looks at me, "It's time," he says. I nod. We all walk out and to the hall. The doors open and my parents walk me all the way down as the music continues.
When we reach the end, mamma kisses me on the cheek and papà gives me a hug before they both sit.
Addie goes next, throwing the flower petals around. Leo and the maid of honor, Peony I think her name is, go next. Marco and the last bridesmaid go last before the song changes.
Everyone stands as Elsie and her father appear at the end of the aisle.
She's very pretty. I'm not just saying that because she is going to be my wife within the next few minutes, but genuinely she is a gorgeous girl. I notice she is wearing the tiara. The same one my mamma wore at her wedding, the heirloom tiara from the family vault.
Once she reaches me, her father kisses her forehead and hands her off to me. I smile at her. Her amber eyes shine bright with the light coming in through the windows of the room.
She smiles back. I look down to her hand at the engagement ring we picked out together around two months ago.
By the end of the ceremony, I slipped her wedding band onto her finger and she slipped my ring onto mine. It was official. We are a married couple.
Our parents had talked to us about this. The paper was not enough, we needed to act like an actual couple as well. So when the officiant said I could kiss her, I went for it all the way. I grabbed her by the waist and pulled her in, basically attacking her lips.
She hummed against me, cupping my face in her hands as claps and cheers erupted throughout the entire room.
When we parted, she smiled at me, grabbing my hand. We turned to the crowd and I noticed my parents smiling widely.
We walked back down the aisle as the guests threw flower petals at us.
We walked back into the hallway where our wedding planner led us to a room where we could fix ourselves up for our reception.
"Is there anything you need to do?" I ask her.
She shakes her head, "Just small things, I am not changing my dress until later," she replies. She turns away from me and walks a few steps towards a mirror before turning back to me, reluctantly asking me, "Do you know how to braid hair?"
I nod, "Addie taught me when we were little," I say, making her smile.
"Can you braid my hair, please? It might get hot later and I do not want my hair to be down." she says, almost sounding scared or anxious even to ask.
I smile, nodding, "Of course, principessa, turn around," I tell her. She smiles, turning around, allowing me to see her long red hair.
She hands me a rubber band and I place it around my wrist, splitting her hair into three and braiding it. I tie it off and she turns back around to face me. "Thank you," she says, smiling.
"Of course," I say and offer her my arm to grab, "Are you ready to go?" I ask and she nods, snaking her arm through mine.
We walk back out, our wedding planner leading us to our reception hall.
The beginning of the reception went by quick. Hors d'oeuvres passed around, speeches, dinner.
Then, it is time for our first dance. Her and I have kissed. Once. We have held hands, we have hugged maybe twice. But touching for a prolonged period of time is not something we have done before.
The song starts playing as my hands settle on her waist, her hands going around my neck. We simply smile at each other since everyone is staring at us.
For not being in love, our wedding was genuinely very enjoyable.

1.5 years later on his wedding day

I smack my brother on the head as we are almost done getting ready for my wedding. Enzo is my best man, obviously. He was my built in best friend from birth, he was the obvious option.
He is so stupid sometimes. When him and Elsie got married, sure at the time is was arranged but he was falling for her quick, even if he couldn't realize it.
Now they are literally obsessed with each other and I am glad our lovely parents set up that deal because that wedding is where I met my fiancée. The love of my life. Peony.
She's Elsie's best friend and I met her at their wedding. Being completely honest, we could not stand each other in the beginning. We absolutely despised each other.
We have been through a lot in this past year and a half and I almost cannot believe how insane I was to despise her when we first met.
I cannot imagine my life without her. She is the light of my life, the love of my life. My other half. There is no one on this planet that could make me happier, who I could possibly fall in love with more. I am so grateful and happy that I get to marry her today.
She's my wildflower that I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with her.
Enzo slaps me back and I flip him off, making him smile. Asshat. "Are you ready?" he asks me.
"Of course I am!" I say, starting to do a little dance as I have now finished getting ready. "But I do not know how to do my hair like I used to. She does it for me every day." I say. It is sad that I am not allowed to see her today.
There is a knock on the door and it opens. Mamma gasps, then giggles so I turn to see my mamma with a mask in her hands. "Put this over your eyes," she says, handing it to me.
I shrug, taking it and placing it over my eyes. I feel Enzo pull me somewhere, "Where are you taking me?" I ask him, trying to smack his hand off.
"Calmati," he says before sitting me down on a chair. I feel someone start to play with my hair, and I back away but someone giggles and I immediately recognize it as Peony's laugh. (Calm down)
I gasp, "Oh my god. Kiss me." I say. She laughs even more, but I make kissy lips and she gives me one.
She fixes my hair and quickly leaves, leaving me heartbroken. For the moment. Until I get to see her walking down the aisle and then I will  be fine.
I take the mask off my eyes and look around to find everyone staring at me weirdly. "What?" I ask them.
"You are such a weirdo," Addie says to me. It is so weird to me that her full name is Adelaida. I have called her that maybe five times in my entire life.
I scoff, "Okay Adilana," I say in a mocking tone making her stuck her tongue out at me. I call her that when I am trying to make fun of her.
"It is time. Are you ready?" My mamma asks me. I nod. Mamma and papà are the best sets of parents anyone could ever ask for.
I could not have had a better life, childhood, anything. They were amazing people and parents to prepare us for life, experiences, business, love.
They are amazing.
We leave the room and make our way to the hall, my parents and I walking down the aisle first.
The groomsmen and bridesmaids went next but I was getting impatient. Then I saw my gorgeous wildflower. The most beautiful human being on this earth.
She smiles widely at me, her brown eyes shining. Her short brown hair was curled beautifully and her dress was amazingly perfect. I couldn't believe she was just for me.
She reached me and I was crying. I could feel the tear going down my cheek. I couldn't be more excited and happy and overwhelmed, I am going to lose it.
The ceremony was over before I could even process it and before I knew it, we were husband and wife. I grabbed her and kissed her, not being able to keep my hands off her for another second.
She giggled into the kiss and I grabbed her hand. Everyone was cheering and screaming, and we ran back down the aisle hand in hand.
We couldn't stop laughing as we were taken to our own private room. As the door closed, I grabbed her again and kissed her. We were both laughing, out of control.
"I love you, wildflower," I tell her.
She smiles widely, "I love you too," she says, kissing me again.
We do some quick changes and kisses before going back out, going into the reception hall. The entire night, I was with my wife on the dance floor, screaming the words to songs, spinning her around, dancing with her.
It was the best night of my life. We ate an unnecessary amount of cake and after everyone left, we stayed and danced to one last song together, enjoying the night together. The night we started our lives together, forever.
