Being close to a person was something people yarned for. Seeking affection, warmth, knowledge about their lover. In other words, people yarned intimacy.
Intimacy comes within several forms. The familial intimacy, where you can talk about anything to your parents, brothers, sisters. Some said that this kind of intimacy was just a given, that parents should give their child that form of love. But some weren't lucky on that regard, some hated their family.
The amical intimacy, where you can talk about anything with a friend, knowing that the friend won't judge, that kind of intimacy wasn't easy to find. After all, humans proved themselves to use everything to make someone already vulnerable much more than that. Some confided to their friends, only for them to be betrayed and heart broken.
The couple intimacy, where you can just bath in the warmth your lover provide. This type of intimacy was the rarest one. When you can just let go of your feelings, not having to pun on a mask of false personality. But even when you can share something deep with your lover, they can turn your back on you.
Y/N experienced the couple intimacy first. At the beginning it felt good, he had a girlfriend who he loved, and his love was given back. Everything was good, until his final year where she changed. Each time he wanted to talk with her, she would refuse, saying that she had some meetups with her friends.
Each time he tried to plan something, she always told him that she needed to study for the incoming test. At first he believed her, she was just busy and was alright with that. So he waited, waited, and waited. Until one day he found her flirting with some boy. He could hear them clearly.
But when he interposed himself between the dude and his girlfriend, she immediately took the expression of someone being taken advantage on. Y/N wasn't dumb, but was in love. So he said that if anyone tried to make her uncomfortable, she should reach our for him. She nodded, saying that he was a good boyfriend.
But as time passed, she found herself doing it more and more, to the point where she saw Y/N walking past and throw a look of despair and profonde hurt. She always managed to make him forgive her for her unfaithful behavior. And she loved seeing Y/N suffer.
Her sadistic love for Y/N turned into the worst as she imagined plans to make him feel worthless, only for her entertainment. She made rumors about Y/N being unfaithful, forcing his girlfriend down, making her cry and sad for his own pleasure.
But Y/N had enough, his resolve shattered, he didn't want this anymore. So he broke down, making his spiteful words resonate within all the campus of the middle school. He humiliated her in front of everyone, but the one who was really humiliated was Y/N.
Even if they weren't together anymore, he could still feel her toxic embrace on him. Up until one day, when he heard his best friends talking about Y/N's being a 'bastard, cheating son of a bitch'. Out of all people, he never believed that his best friend could say that.
Needless to say, he cut ties with him in a painful manner.
He had his fair share of toxic relationship, so when Yuri was at the brink of repeating everything, he couldn't let it happen. He took matters in hand and confronted the ones who managed to tilt Yuri's already down mood to the lowest. He silently hoped that it was boys, he needed to blow off some steam. But he knew that it wouldn't be great, the consequences were too much for him to act like that.
Fortunately, Yuri took care of it, when she slapped those girls, he felt happy. He insulted them, Yuri as well and slapped them. For him, it was a win for everyone he loved.
He opened his eyes once more, glancing on Yuri's peaceful expression as she couldn't help himself to smile. He found someone he truly loved, and he wasn't having any bullshit trying to cut him from her.
