Nandini sat in front of the mirror, absentmindedly combing her hair, her mind replaying the conversation she had overheard between Manik and Cabir.
The name "Aryan" echoed in her thoughts, and the pain in Manik's voice haunted her. She glanced at Manik, sitting on his side of the bed, engrossed in his laptop, his fingers flying over the keyboard.
Taking a deep breath, Nandini put down her comb and walked over to her side of the bed. She hesitated for a moment, her heart pounding. Gathering her courage, she settled down beside him, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Manik... can I ask you something?"
Manik didn't look up from his laptop. "Hmm?"
Stammering slightly, Nandini continued, "Who... who is Aryan?"
Manik's hands froze on the keyboard. He turned his head sharply to look at her, his eyes widening in shock before narrowing in anger.
With a sudden, fierce movement, he closed his laptop and pinned her to the bed, his grip on her wrists painfully tight.
"How do you know that name?" he demanded, his voice low and dangerous.
Nandini's eyes widened in fear. "I-I overheard you and Cabir talking earlier," she stammered, her voice trembling.
Manik's face contorted with rage, his eyes spitting fire. "You were eavesdropping on my private conversation?"
He shouted, his grip tightening painfully on her wrists. "Never take that name before anyone, do you hear me? You have no idea what you're talking about. Don't poke your nose into things that don't concern you!"
"Manik, please," Nandini gasped, tears welling up in her eyes from the pain. "You're hurting me. Please let go."
But Manik didn't release his hold. Instead, he leaned closer, his voice a harsh whisper. "Mind your own business, Nandini. You don't know anything about my past, and you never will. Stay out of it."
Nandini winced, the pain in her wrist becoming unbearable. "Manik, please. You're hurting me."
Realizing what he was doing, Manik abruptly let go of her wrists and stepped back, his face a mixture of anger and regret.
Without another word, he stormed out of the room, leaving Nandini alone, her heart pounding and her wrists throbbing with pain.
She sat there for a moment, trying to calm her racing heart, tears streaming down her face. She looked at the red marks on her wrists where Manik had gripped her and felt a deep sadness wash over her.
One Month Later
It had been over a month since the FAB 5 began their intense practice sessions and recording for their new album. The days had flown by in a whirlwind of creativity, laughter, and hard work. The jam room had become their second home, filled with the sounds of music, banter, and camaraderie.
The FAB 5 with Mr. Rao and his team gathered in the studio for the final playback of their two recorded songs. The room buzzed with anticipation as they settled into their seats, eager to hear the finished tracks.
The person who was managing the sound system hit play, and the first song began to fill the room. As the music played, a sense of pride and accomplishment washed over them.
The hours of practice, the moments of frustration, and the bursts of inspiration had all come together to create something extraordinary.
Cabir grinned widely, his excitement palpable. "This sounds amazing! We nailed it, guys."
Mukti nodded, her eyes shining with satisfaction. "I agree. All those late nights and endless rehearsals were worth it."
Alya leaned back in her chair, a contented smile on her face. "It's even better than I imagined. We’ve come a long way."
