Nandini decided to surprise Manik at his office. She hadn't seen him all day, and she knew how much he loved little surprises. Dressing in a simple yet elegant dress, she left Avyukt with Neyonika and headed to the Malhotra Industries office.

As she walked through the bustling hallways, she couldn't help but smile. Knocking gently, she opened the door and peeked inside. Manik was seated at his desk, engrossed in some documents. His face lit up the moment he saw her.

"Nandini!" he exclaimed, standing up and rushing towards her. "What a surprise!"

Nandini grinned, stepping into his arms. "I missed you."

Manik hugged her tightly, his warmth enveloping her. "I missed you too. This is such a wonderful surprise."

She pulled back slightly, looking into his eyes. "I thought you could use a little break."

He chuckled, kissing her forehead. "You know me too well."

They sat on the couch in his office, holding hands and talking about their day. Manik couldn't stop looking at her, his eyes filled with love and admiration.

"You look beautiful," he said, tracing her cheek with his fingers.

Nandini blushed. "Thank you. I just wanted to see you."

Manik leaned in, capturing her lips in a gentle kiss. Just as things were getting more intimate, there was a knock on the door. They pulled apart reluctantly as Manik called out, "Come in."

The door opened, and his new secretary, Nia, walked in. Nandini's smile faltered slightly as she saw the young woman. Nia was always impeccably dressed, and Nandini couldn't shake off the feeling that she was too close to Manik for comfort.

"Mr. Malhotra, I have the files you requested," Nia said, handing over a stack of papers.

"Thank you, Nia," Manik said, taking the files. "Could you leave them on the desk?"

Nia smiled, her gaze lingering on Manik a little too long for Nandini's liking. "Of course. If you need anything else, just let me know."

Nandini's eyes narrowed slightly as she watched Nia leave. Manik noticed her expression and chuckled. "Jealous, are we?"

Nandini crossed her arms, pouting slightly. "She's too... friendly."

Manik wrapped his arm around her shoulders, pulling her close. "You have nothing to worry about, Nandini. You're the only one for me."

She sighed, resting her head on his shoulder. "I know. It's just... she's always giving you those looks."

Manik kissed her hair, soothing her. "Let's not waste our time thinking about her. I'm here with you, and that's all that matters."

Their moment was interrupted once more as Nia returned with more documents. This time, Nandini couldn't hold back her irritation.

"Is there something else you need?" she asked, her tone a bit sharper than intended.

Nia looked taken aback but quickly recovered. "I'm sorry, Mrs. Malhotra. I didn't mean to intrude."

Manik sensed the tension and decided to diffuse the situation. "Nia, why don't you take the rest of the day off? I can handle the rest from here."

Nia nodded, clearly disappointed. "Of course, Mr. Malhotra. Have a good evening."

As soon as she left, Nandini turned to Manik. "You didn't have to send her away."
