Manik had just returned home from a meeting when his phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Hello, Manik beta, this is Vivek," came the warm voice from the other end.

Manik's heart skipped a beat. He had spoken to Nandini's parents only a few times and always found them kind and welcoming. "Hello, Appa. How are you?"

"We're doing well, thank you. We wanted to talk to you about something important."

Manik's curiosity was piqued. "Of course, what is it?"

"We've been thinking about Nandini's birthday. We know it's coming up and want to celebrate it grandly, especially since we couldn't do it in the past few years. We thought it would be wonderful to surprise her."

Manik's mind raced. Nandini's birthday? He hadn't known it was coming. He felt a pang of guilt for not knowing. "That sounds like a great idea, Uncle."

"Let's make it a surprise. I'll inform the rest of the family and make sure no one lets it slip to Nandini."

Her father sounded relieved. "Thank you, Manik. We'll coordinate with you for the arrangements."

"Appa, we'll ensure it's a day Nandini will never forget."

After hanging up, Manik sat in thought for a moment. He reached for his phone and called Cabir first.

"Hey, Manik, what's up?" Cabir answered cheerfully.

"Hey, Cabir. I need to talk to you about something important. It's about Nandini's birthday."

"Her birthday?" Cabir sounded surprised.

"Her parents just called and want to celebrate it grandly. It's a surprise, so we can't let Nandini know."

"Got it. This is exciting! What do you need me to do?"

"First tell me when it is," Manik asked in a slow tone.

"It's on the 20th," Cabir said in disbelief.

"I'll need your help coordinating with everyone. We have to keep it a secret and plan something truly special. Can you guys come over tonight so we can brainstorm?"

"Of course. we'll be there in an hour. I'll inform others too," Cabir replied eagerly.

Everyone was enthusiastic about the idea, promising to help in any way they could. They sat down in the living room to discuss ideas.

"We should have a theme," Cabir suggested. "Something that reflects Nandini's personality."

Alya nodded. "She loves music and nature. Maybe we can have a garden party with music."

"That sounds perfect. We can decorate the garden with fairy lights, and flowers." Mukti suggested.

Manik smiled, feeling the excitement build. "We'll need to arrange catering, decorations, and invitations for her friends."

"Leave the decorations to me," Dhruv said confidently. "Mukti and Alya can help too."

"Me and Abhimanyu will handle the catering and make sure we have a variety of Nandini's favorite dishes," Cabir added.

"I'll look after the invitation to her friends," Navya said feeling enthusiasm.

They spent the next few hours planning, making lists, and delegating tasks.
