Hallucinations And Descent

Jayden didn't know what to feel, whether to be happy that his painful life was coming to an end, or to be angry about the fact that he was going to die a loser.

Jayden thought of many things, the good times and the bad times, images flashed in his head of when he was little.

At that time his parents took care of him with great care, they showered him with love and everything he needed, he had everything any child would ever want, he had good friends and always had fun with them anytime he had the chance, that went on for a long time until they suddenly changed when he turned fifteen, they grew apart from him and took care of his sister only, he was treated like a mere servant in his own home, he felt like he was no longer welcomed.

What he did, he still didn't know till date.

The only thing that kept him sane was his friends who didn't abandon him, Natalia and Nate, his two best friends.

Jayden felt that something was wrong when her parents moved away with Natalia, it felt as if they were trying to get her as far away from Jayden as possible. He felt wronged and depressed but soon learnt to live with it.

As Jayden was reminiscing about his past, the sound of the wind crashing against his body seized, white smoke suddenly covered his vision, everywhere he looked, all he could see was smoke, the smell of the smoke then disappeared.

Jayden tried speaking but heard nothing, he couldn't feel his mouth moving or hear anything he said, it seemed like he had lost his sense of touch and the ability to speak, he immediately tried to move his limbs but felt nothing, the feeling felt real and he began to panick, he had lost all his senses and was now trying his best to at least make one work, without the ability to feel anything, he felt like he was suffocating. He gasped for air and struggled immensely.

'Calm down, I have to calm down and think straight.' Jayden thought.

'The fact that I'm still alive means I'm breathing even though I can't feel it. Wait, I'm I even alive? Is this what it feels like to be dead? Arhhh!!! I'M LOSING MY MIND!!!' Jayden screamed in his head.

He frantically wiggled but didn't feel a thing, he didn't get tired even after 'shaking' his body for several hours, or was it days, perhaps even weeks. Jayden had lost the sense of time.

He had been falling for the 'gods knows' how long but he hadn't hit the ground yet, maybe he had but due to his situation he didn't know, soon he began to hallucinate, he saw himself fighting Derrick and his team, he killed them brutally without mercy.

'Serves you right!' He snickered.

The images changed to him beating his parents to a pulp. They begged him for mercy but he didn't stop, then his sister rushed in and tried to stop him, but with a simple wave of his hands, she was thrown right through the door she came in and crashing into several machines.

Jayden grinned happily, the illusions where like blissful memories to him. But just as they appeared they were replaced by something else, the image of Natalia being ***** by Derrick and his gang flashed for a second in his mind, but just that second was enough for his anger to erupt like a volcano, he screamed angrily and wept, he tried to reach out to her but couldn't move, he felt a force root him to the spot.

Another image of his parents torturing Nate displayed in his mind again, the anger he felt was making him loose his mind, sadness overwhelmed him and he began to weep again.

This went on for a long period of time Jayden couldn't fathom. After several hours, days, and weeks of falling, he finally began to regain his senses, by then his mind was almost broken, it felt like a being was taking the truth and shoving it roughly in his face.

"I need power....but how....how do I get it?" Those were the first words Jayden spoke after a long long time.

Jayden felt his Mech Suit heating up, a feeling he was supposed to feel a long time since the beginning of his fall. But he didn't complain it was proof that he was coming back to himself.

Jayden began to see a layout of a building that looked like a huge pagoda, it had seven layers of roof, as he got closer it became more detailed. He began to see tiny moving dots around it, those dots then became detailed figures of...

"....Minotaurs."

Huge powerful creatures that resembled half bull, half human guarded the entrance to the pagoda, with huge blood red war hammers and axes held in their three fingered arms.

As Jayden descended, he steadied himself and prepared to land.

"This is going to hurt." Jayden said.

He had steeled his resolve and was prepared to survive this no matter the cost, then he was going to torture Derrick, his teammates, his family and their families to death.

Jayden who wasn't prepared for what was to come, crashed into an invisible dome of energy, it greatly slowed down his fall but at the cost of his limbs, Jayden could feel the bones in his right hand, right leg and left leg cracking and breaking like eggshells from the pressure, he gritted his teeth and tried not to scream out loud, but who was he kidding, Jayden screamed like a little child denied of a lolly for several days.

The Large Minotaurs on hearing the commotion charged into the pagoda to get to the intruder.

The dome gave way, but Jayden's speed was still threatening, he broke through the first roof of the pagoda and crashed on the tile like flooring. The floor caved in but held his weight, he was bleeding in several parts of his body, a part of the flooring had oenetrated his eyes and was inches away from digging into his brain and killing him on the spot.

He groaned and tried to move, but the acute pain he felt made him stop. As Jayden was thinking of a way to get out of that situation, he felt the wall to his right cracking.

"The Minotaurs!" Realization dawned on Jayden and he began to try to get away from the wall. He used his barely working arm to crawl, he began to feel a warming and soothing energy coming from a floating orb ahead of him. He doubled up his effort and crawled faster.

As Jayden was getting to the orb, the wall burst apart and three Minotaurs charged in, searching for the Intruder. Their eyes layed on Jayden and without any hesitation they went for the kill, on getting to him they lifted their axes and hammers simultaneously and brought it down, it was at that moment Jayden's finger and blood made contact with the floating Orb.
