Frost Foxes

"I'm getting tired already, can we at least rest for five minutes."

"We've barely walked one kilometer and you're tired already, if you had worked on your body, you will be able to work several kilometers without stopping for a second." Nate's voice sounded from the front where he and Jayden where.

"At least slow down for the girls, they need to rest for a second."

Jayden turned around and saw the girls giving him the puppy dog eyes. His heart melted for a second, the girls jubilated in their mind, their plan had worked. Only for Jayden to turn around and keep walking without pause.

"You can stop if you want to. But I won't." Jayden simply said.

The girls were stunned into silence, they didn't expect this kind of attitude from Jayden, usually he would stop and let them rest for a second, but today wasn't a day Jayden could mess around, he desperately needed to get stronger and the only way he could think of was to hunt creatures to get their Energy Orbs and exchange them for skills, perhaps even a better Mech Suit.

They endured and followed behind Jayden.

"You can use your Mech Suits if you want." Nate commented.

They knew better to not use their Mech Suits unless they where in battle as every single point of energy they could save mattered.They kept walking until they spotted a group of beasts ahead.

Planet Euphoria was a planet flourishing with green and life, there were trees and grasses as far as the eyes could see, the trees were randomly placed but still gave a beautiful sight to see.

Ahead of them where a group of four legged beasts, they resembled foxes but had a single horn at the center of their heads, they had blue fur and the air around them seemed cold, with the biggest among them having two horns, one blue and the other red, it also had red stripes on its body like that of a tiger.

"Frost Foxes, but that one looks like it's mutating." Lewis commented.

"Lucy, use your energy reading to check its level." Knell said pointing at Lewis.

"I'm Lewis."

"Screw this, you two need to get a marking to differentiate between you two. It might help in a life and death situation."

Lucy called out her Mech Suit and activated the skill needed, a blue light escaped her palm and scanned the creatures from afar without them noticing. After some seconds, she retracted the light and spoke her result.

"They are all at the Intermediate Level, but the bigger one is evolving and mutating at the same time."

"Since it is evolving, isn't it supposed to be hibernating?"

"Yeah, that strange, what are they even doing? They are just standing there looking around."

"I don't care, they look like free kills to me. There are ten in total including their leader, whoever kills the leader first keeps its Energy Orb." Jayden briefed them before they all activated their Mech Suits.

The twins pink Mech Suits where eye catching which immediately attracted the fox pack, they came charging straight at them with the horns on their heads lighting up.

The five squad members charged at the pack in an arrow formation with Nate leading the charge. The Foxes had finished gathering energy at the tips of their horns which they released without any hesitation.

Crudely formed spears of ice where launched simultaneously at the team and they reacted differently to it, Nate fired bullets of energy from his palm, destroying the spears on impact.

Jayden punched the spears with his large fists and shattered them, bits of ice spread on his knuckles but with a little flexing of his hands they came off easily.

Knell had two short swords in his hands, which each swing breaking the ice spears apart.

The twins in the other hand fired out streams of energy from their palms, melting the spears and turning them into nothing more than water vapour.

The fox seeing this squealed and barked loudly and as if on que a bigger and more defined spear of ice shot out from the leaders horn heading straight for Nate, Nate came to a screeching halt, he held out his hand and a circular shield made out of energy formed in his front, the spear made contact and pushed him back slightly. His shield immediately freezed over and broke apart.

Jayden went for a tackle with two foxes, they lunged at him ferociously aiming to take a bite out of him.

"Not today boys." He grabbed them by their necks and jumped high, he activated the third combination he just came up with.

By combining [Velocity Punch] and [Energy Blast] he could deal a powerful punch but not as powerful as the second combination.

He came crashing down with his fists, with the foxes necks tightly grasped in his hands, their necks easily broke from the impact, but that wasn't enough to kill them.

Creatures were known for their resilience and that resilience made them powerful in battle. Jayden drew back his arms and punched several times on their necks until their heads detached from their body.

Knell finished off his beasts with quick thrusts of his sword to their heads, the twins burnt the foxes beyond recognition while Nate had killed the Intermediate Leveled beast and was battling it out with the leader.

He fired out bullets of energy at the leader who dodged it with quick and agile steps. It opened it's mouth and a ball of scorching flames gathered in it, it released it with a burst of energy at Nate, Nate activated [Saints Sword] amd a sword made of highly compressed energy cleaved the fireball into two unequal halves. He proceeded to thrust his sword but the cunning creature jumped back and prepared to flee.

Jayden blocked its path to prevent it from running away which gave Nate the chance to attack it from behind.

The Energy Orb naturally went to Nate even though he knew he wouldn't have killed it if not for Jayden's help.
