Chapter 10

Their eyes met before Jessie grabbed Liam and pulled him away.

Their eyes met and Liam frowned, Zayn forced a smile but Liam looked away and continued after Jessie

"You. CAN'T. Treat Luca like that, do you know how worried he got?"

Liam continued to work on a robot "He should've respected me when I asked him to stop"

"Liam. Just forgive him. Do you know how worried he was last night?"

Liam turned to her, Jessie's arms were crossed and she was tapping her foot on the floor

She frowned "Why are you looking at me like that?"

Liam blinked then shrugged "You're right"

She stopped "I... Am?"

Liam cleared his throat "Yeah, I'll go see him now"

She shook her head "He's at work"

Liam picked up his things and walked out "You said I have to talk to him, right? Well. I'm going"

Liam was walking towards the exit when he heard his name get called

He stopped and turned around and met Zayn's eyes

Zayn walked towards him and forced a smile, Liam nodded

"Uh, I was hoping that... We could talk?"

Liam shook his head "I need to go to talk to Luca, I'll call you later and we can"

Zayn stepped back and nodded "Ok"

Liam went to the company first, and he was told Luca excused himself earlier in the day and went home

So he went to Luca's house, as soon as he walked in, he saw Alana

She saw Liam and frowned "What are you doing here?"

Liam shrugged and started to walk up the stairs "Talking to my fiancé"

"Liam-"

Liam stopped and looked at her from over his shoulder "You and Jessie have been calling me all night and telling me I have to talk to him, so I'm going" He turned to her "Unless you don't think I should?"

She slowly shook her head, opened her mouth to say something but Liam continued to walk

He reached the room and took a deep breath before he opened the door

"Luca"

Liam was seated, looking at the plate of food in front of him when Zayn sat down opposite him

"Did I disturb?"

Zayn shook his head as he asked for a glass of water "You never do" Zayn looked at Liam "Are you ok?"

Liam blinked then looked at Zayn "I don't know how I'm feeling" he said then looked down

Zayn nodded then smiled at the waiter who got him a glass of water then looked at Liam

"My parents had me when they were 15" Liam quickly looked at him "There's a lot of bullshit in between there, my mum hiding me, not knowing my basic rights and being terrified of my dad- who I didn't meet until I was 5"

Liam slowly nodded "But, I now spend most of my time with my dad, but mum said if I don't go visit her, she'll take my dad to court... He wasn't on my birth certificate so he could get in trouble"

Liam frowned  and Zayn looked at him "She's the reason that I lost my hand"

Liam froze "She locked me out one day when I was 15 because a boyfriend of hers wanted to see her but didn't want me there." Zayn looked at Liam "Dad was busy with something else..."
