"He's alright" She whispered and wiped her face "He flatlined but he's alright..."
Zayn looked at her "Flatlined?"
She nodded "But he's Ok, dear... He's in the ICU"
Zayn looked towards the ICU then looked at Liam's mum "Do they know when he might wake up?"
She shook her head "No dear… It all depends on him and when he decides he's strong enough to do so at this point"

Zayn walked into his dad's house, he heard the familiar ring of his parents laughter
He followed the sound and saw his mother hitting his father with a newspaper as she laughed
She stopped when she saw him and smiled "Zayn… Hi love"
His father looked at him, his smile fell and he stood up "Is everything Ok? Is Liam Ok?"
Zayn shrugged, his mother walked towards him and hugged him "What's wrong dear?"
Zayn hugged her back and hid his face "What if he doesn't wake up?" She rubbed his back "He's everything to me, he means more to me than everyone and everything... If he doesn't wake up, I won't be able to handle it"
His mum squeezed him "Oh my love... I'm so sorry" she pulled away "Adam, can you make some-"
"On it" He said running out
Zayn was lead upto his room, his mother opened the door. She sat dorm with him on the bed and he looked at his hands
"The few times I've spoken to him, without you there, he was nothing but absolute strength." She rubbed his back
"You don't have to worry, dear. Liam will wake up and he'll be laughing at shit your father says"
Zayn smiled weakly and looked at her "You think so?"
"Oh I'm sure of it"

"Oh you're gooooone for"
Zayn looked at Louis "What?"
Louis and Niall chuckled, the 3 of them turned to Liam, who was talking to Mr. And Mrs. Payne
"I don't know what you are talk about"
Niall chuckled "Sure you don't"
1 month later...
Zayn ran across the hall, there was about an hour until visiting hours are over
But Zayn wouldn't wait, he refuses to wait until the next day
Zayn was about to run into the room but Liam's father stopped him
"Zayn-"
Zayn turned to him "What happened?"
Liam's father slumped beside his sobbing wife and sighed "A code red..."

"We're not leaving" He said looking at the nurse "We're not leaving until we know that he's Ok, until we know something!!"
Louis paced while Niall's leg bounced, Liam's parents were silently seated with their hands joined and their eyes closed
Zayn gripped his hair and took a deep breath, Louis stopped then sat down beside Zayn
The nurse looked at the 5 before she sighed and turned away
"Mr. Payne, Mrs. Payne"
They all quickly looked up, Liam's parents stood up and walked towards the doctor
