Something was wrong.
Annabeth knew she had escaped out of Tartarus, but why was she back in there? The red hazy mist surrounded her and clogged her lungs. She looked around her. Where was Percy?
"PERCY!" She still couldn't see him.
"PERCY! SEAWEED BRAIN! WHERE ARE YOU???" Annabeth was sobbing now, her hands clawing at her chest. In the distance, a hazy figure appeared, and was limping and aumbling towards her.
"WiseGirl?" A sob escaped from Annabeth's chest - it was Percy, her KelpHead! Bolting toward him, she took his face into her hands and kissed him, tears still running down her face.
Taking his hand, they limped to the Doors of Death, which were left abandoned. They started running, coughing and spluttering as the pair went.
The haze shimmered and an army of Monsters and Titans came into existence. Grabbing her hand, Percy raised Riptide and charged.
The battle was almost won until an empousa jumped on Percy and slashed his neck. Annabeth quickly dismebered that empousa's head from her body, but had no time to feel triumphant.
Percy was on the floor, bleeding and breathing rapidly. "Oh..Oh Gods. Percy don't leave me. Please!" Sobs now racked through Annabeth's body and Percy's blood was soaking the ground. With his breathing getting shallower, Annabeth bent down for one last kiss before Percy died.
"NO! PERCY! SEAWEED BRAIN DON'T LEAVE ME!" Annabeth was screaming now, her throat hoarse.
Suddenly, a pair of stong, warm arms wrapped around her, and Percy's voice was saying her name. Wait a second, she thought, Percy? Annabeth opened her eyes to see her boyfriend looking down at her. Tears were filling her eyes, but she just stared at him, unable to breath.
"Hey, it's okay. We're out. We're on the Argo. I love you you know." Percy whispered, his voice soft. He laid down on the bed next to her and hugged her. "You were screaming my name over and over again. I died didn't I?" he asked, his gorgeous green eyes full of concern. Annabeth just nodded.
"Wise girl. You know I love you, right? I love you so much, more and more every day. I am never going to leave you. OK?" Percy said this with so much emotion Annabeth started crying, tears tracing their way down her face.
Percy kissed her gently and started rocking her back and forth until they both fell asleep.
