Annabeth sat in her cabin with her head in her hands. It had been 24 days, 7 hours and 16 minutes since Percy had disappeared and Annabeth was falling to pieces.
Percy was her anchor. Without him she floated aimlessly around the world without a purpose.
After saving the world from Kronos the couple had finally got to spend an amazing few months together before the winter solstice. After visiting Olympus Percy had kissed her goodnight, only not to come out of his cabin. She had searched and searched, with no results.
Annabeth was absorbed in her own thoughts when a light shimmered in her cabin.
She looked up and saw a streaming Iris message. Annabeth gasped.
"Percy?"
"Annabeth!"
"Gods, where are you?"she sobbed, trying to reach through the shimmering image to touch him.
"I don't know. I can't remember anything. Only you."
Annabeth's heart shattered. She opened her mouth to answer when the image changed to the irritatingly beautiful face of Hera.
"Annabeth" the queen of the gods nodded curtly as if she was something on the bottom of her godly sandal.
"Your majesty."
"So? How are you dealing with the ah,should we say disappearance of your boyfriend?"
"What have you done with him?? Bring him back!!!" Annabeth was fuming with anger.
"If you really love him you'll do what I say. "
"I'll find him on my own thanks."
Hera glared at Annabeth and ended the call.
All her anger disappeared leaving her cold and empty. Curling up on her bunk, she started to sob. She has loved and lost so much.
Luke. Selena. At one point her father. Now her mother. Countless friends that left and never came back. Her siblings. And now Percy. It was all too much.
