AN - So, I'm rewriting butterfly because in my opinion it was really bad and you lot deserve something better and you also need an update. The Pirate AU is taking a bit longer because I'm having major writers block. Basically when all you're doing is analysing poems and books in English Lit it's hard to be creative. GCSE's aren't nice. Anyway I'm going to keep the old butterfly up because you might like that one better. And also I'm stealing that comment that said 'the rivalry ends here' because that's pretty cool.
Romeo - Percy
Juliet - Annabeth
Tybalt - Clarisse
Benvolio - Grover
Mercutio - Leo
Paris - Luke
Nurse - Hestia
Montague - Poseidon
Lady Capulet - Athena
Lord Capulet - Frederick Chase
Prince - Zeus
Friar Lawrence - Chiron
Rosaline - Rachel who by the way will be a Chase in this because Rosaline was a Capulet.

Annabeth

"Annabeth!"  I sighed as my mother called for me. She never wanted anything to do with me unless it had something associated with a potential suitor. I picked up my skirts and ran down the halls. I stopped before I reached the parlour and took a deep breath. Smoothing out my dress I tried to act as presentable as I could as I walked in, my footsteps echoing off the marble floor. And there was my mother, with Luke Castellan. Instantly I dropped to curtesy, dreading what was to come. "Annabeth, it is most pleasurable to meet you."
"As to you, sir." Luke picked up my hand and brushed his hands over my knuckles. I dropped my hand back to my sides and glared at my mother. She knew I didn't want this. I scanned the room looking for my father. He was nowhere to be seen. "Annabeth, stand up straight," my mother scolded "Luke here wants you to be his bride." I was speechless. This was typical, the only time my mother notices existence is when she wants me to marry in order to get more power than the Jacksons in the feud. I look at Hestia for advice. She gave me a look of pity, but due to her position was unable to say anything. I quickly bowed and left, dashing out of the room. I hurried down the endless marble corridors to an alcove and hid. I could faintly hear two voices arguing once again.
"Child, why are you so sad?" Hestia was looking at me, her eyes full of concern.
"I don't want to marry Luke - I see no need of it."
"Well, your father has returned and has told both your mother and Luke that he has to win you over and you don't have to marry him!"
"When would he be able to win me over?"
"There shall be a ball tonight in your honour, Luke plans to woo you there."
"They make it sound as if it is a business proposal not a marriage."
"Go, seek happy nights to happy days."
I stand up and briefly hug Hestia. "Thank you." I walk up to my room and stand on the balcony, my hand resting on the railing. The breeze is welcoming and then sun is beginning to set, basking everything it touches with its golden light.

Percy

"Percy!" I look up from the branch I was sat in to see who called me. "Yes Grover?"
"What's the matter?" I let out a sigh.
"Rachel has sworn chaste."
"Unrequited love sucks huh?"
"Pretty much." I sighed, Grover stared at me for a moment and then began speaking again. "That's it. Come on, we're going to a ball to get your mind off that Chase."
"But -"
"Percy. There will be no buts. Your father asked me personally to find out what was wrong so unless you want him to get more invested -"
"Fine, I'll go. Where's Leo?"
"He's gone to figure out a way for us to get in,  seriously if we get caught the feud will only get worse."
"The feud has gone on too long. It needs to end."
I kicked stones at my  feet and looked up to the sky, wanting my pain to wash away like the incoming tide.

Annabeth

I sigh as I tried and failed to do something with my hair. My parents wanted me to look presentable. They'd forced a corset upon my waist and makeup on my face. I decided to leave my hair down and plait two small sections to the back of my head. My dress was golden and showed the size of my parent's riches. I was dreading this evening. In the past, I was fascinated with Luke but now he's completely different. He's cold and emotionless, and only wanted a woman who would faun over him and obey his every command. Like hell that was happening. I want to marry for love, not to get the other hand in this ridiculous Chase/Jackson feud that had plagued the city for hundreds of years. I left my room and slowly made my way downstairs, where the party had already started. I put on my mask and braces myself. Everybody froze and looked at me as I walked in, and I flushed bright red. I hate attention. Trying my best not to trip, I hurried down the stairs. Thankfully, I made it out in one piece.
Most of the party had consisted of my mother forcing me to dance with Luke, but I looked for every possible opening to escape this Hell. Finally, I fled as my mother and Luke went to get a drink. I ran out into the courtyard only to fall head first into a stranger. I flinched, expecting to hit the ground but he caught me and steadied me. "I'm so sorry...?" I paused not knowing his name.
"My name isn't important."
"How so?" I raised an eyebrow.
"Well, it ruins the mystery of it all. Here I am, gatecrashing the Chase's Ball and I'm talking to the most beautiful woman to ever walk this earth."
"Well, sir, I have no idea of this woman you're speaking of, and good luck to you." I looked in his eyes and was swept away by their beauty. They were the colour of the sea, and a whirlpool of emotions swirled within them. "Oh, you're funny. Do you see me speaking to any other woman?"
"Um no...?"
"Exactly."
"Oh, you mean me." I laughed nervously, not used to the situation. The stranger began laughing, a most beautiful sound. His laugh was contagious and suddenly I was giggling along side him. Suddenly, he stopped and stood up straight. We were silent for a second as the sweet sound of the Bangtan Boys filled the air. I listened in awe at their voices. "The music, I've never heard anything quite like it."
"Quite right, would you care to dance?" He held out his hand with a smirk.
"Why of course my lord."
We gently swayed and danced to the peaceful melody of the music, gazing into each other's eyes. "You know, I never did get your name."
"Well, Mrs Curious. You tell me yours first, and maybe I'll tell you mine."
"Do you promise it won't change anything between us?" I asked, thinking nothing of it. Boy was I wrong.
"I do."
I took a deep breath. "My name is Annabeth Chase."
"Wait. Did you just say Chase?"
"Yes, why?"
"Oh no."
"Why? What's happened? Oh gods I shouldn't have said anything -"
"My name is Percy Jackson." Jackson. Of all families why did it have to be a Jackson. As I was absorbing all this, Percy began to run off. I sprinted after him, determined not to leave it like this. I ran through to orchard, tripping over twigs and ripping my stupidly extravagant dress. Finally, I caught up to him trying to climb over the wall by the lake. (AN - guess where this is going....hehehe) "Percy, stop. Please." I walked over to him and grabbed his hand. "Please, you're the only good thing I've had recently. Stay a little longer." I pleaded. Eventually, he gave into my wining and climbed down the wall. We sat down on the shore of the lake. We were barely touching his shoulder touching mine was enough to set my skin on fire. "So, why is my sworn enemy at my fathers party?" Percy cleared his throat and looked away. "I'd rather not get into that."
"Okay then."
"For a Chase, you're not too bad."
"Hey!" I laughed "Not too shabby yourself Jackson."
"Thanks."
"No problem." The awkward silence then returned. I shifted uncomfortably, not knowing what to say or do. I looked over and studied him. He was breathtaking. His black hair was a mess but it suited him, his mesmerising green eyes sparkled and I couldn't bring myself to look away. "Like what you see?"
"Yes most definitely. That a problem?" I blushed when I realised what I had just said. I hid behind my hair, embarrassed. A gentle hand tucked my hair behind my ear and carefully lifted my face. "Percy, what if they see us."
"I don't care. This feud is stupid."
"I know, trust me. But if we get caught and you get hurt because of me I'll never forgive myself."
"Hey, I'm a man! I can take care for myself!" He flexed his muscles, pulling a funny face and I couldn't control myself. Tears streamed down my face and I clutched my stomach from laughing so hard. "What's so funny?"
"It's...It's just. I can't I'm sorry." I was rolling on the floor laughing. After a good two minutes I stopped laughing and sat up properly. Percy had a hurt look on his face. "Aw Percy I'm sorry." It was his turn to crack a smile. "I'm just messing with you, I'm not mad."  I stuck my tongue out at him and winked.

The sun was beginning to rise, making us realise it was time to leave. "Percy c'mon you've got to go." He hugged me and I felt my heart rate get a thousand times faster. "But I don't want to." He mumbled against my hair. He smelt like the sea. "I'll see you again though right?" He pulled away and cupped my face. He kissed me gently. When he finally pulled away he spoke only four words.
"The rivalry ends here."
