I look up at the endless sky of black and think. How small we are compared to the infinite nothing that is also everything all at once. The Stars twinkle and shine in the distance and it dawns on me. We are very small and compared to what's out there we're very insignificant but we help make up something that is very large and very beautiful. I wrap my arms around Annabeth and hold her close. "It's beautiful isn't it." Her voice is quiet, but loud enough to break me from my thoughts. "Yeah it is." We're alone on the deck and quiet. The peace and serenity feels strange after the chaos and despair of Tartarus. "Have you ever thought about what else is out there Wise Girl."
"What do you mean?"
"Well, the universe is infinite. There's so many different galaxies and stars and I know that the Gods created Earth but there has to be something else. I mean, what about science. It can't just be us. It's like, I look down at the sea and see the vastness full of creatures even Dad doesn't know about and I look up at the sky and the heavens and there's got to be something past Olympus. There has to be. I can feel it. Every time I look at the stars I see it. The beautiful infinite of nothing and everything all at once. And it's beautiful."
"Seaweed Brain? That is the most amazing thing I have ever heard in my entire life. Gods I love you. And I know exactly what you mean. Even though we are small and insignificant I promise, we are part of something very beautiful - I've seen it."

Annabeth went to grab her shield from her cabin. A few minutes later she came up behind me as I was gazing at the stars yet again. "Percy? Come look." And what I saw was dazzling. I don't even know how to describe it. There were galaxies and stars and nebulae one minute and then a beautiful vision of the ocean the next. It was surreal. Slowly, I kissed Annabeth. "Thank you Wise Girl. But not even the stars in the sky compare to how amazing and beautiful you are."
"Oh shut up kelp head. "
