So this is kind of going to be a Romeo and Juliet inspired once shot. Tbh it kinda does make sense since the whole Poseidon/Athena rival. This is going to be the ballroom scene and the video will be the song they are dancing to because BTS is bae and they are all my children. *Mario voice* Let's go!
Annabeth smoothed down her gown once more as she stood in the alcove with her parents. Tonight would be the ball where she would 'choose her suitor" but the reality was she would be married to Luke.
She looked up to the sky, seeing the stars scatter the sky in a reckless abundance. The guests began to arrive, so she plastered a plastic smile on her face. In the distance, Annabeth saw Luke approach her. Wanting to avoid him, she slipped away into the tranquility of the orchard. Pondering over the matter, Annabeth found herself colliding with a solid object and falling to the ground. She braced for the impact only to be caught by a masked figure.
"Thank you." She said breathlessly, smoothing down her gown.
"No problem." He paused waiting for her name.
"My name doesn't matter."
"How so?" He replied.
"What's in a name? That which we called a rose by any other word would smell as sweet?"
"Are you comparing yourself as a rose?" The other smirked.
"No I am not. But would you think of me differently if you knew my name?"
"Perhaps. Well, beautiful stranger whose name I do not know may I have this dance?"
He gracefully held out his had as the sweet melody filled the air.
Curtsying, Annabeth took it. They danced for what seemed an eternity, simply enjoying each other's company. A strand of blonde hair fell in Annabeth's face and subconsciously the stranger tucked it behind her ear. "Sir, may I ask your name?"
"Why so curious?"
"I would simply like to know the name of the man I have fallen for."
"Percy"
"Annabeth"
"Pardon?" His eyes filled with a look of confusion.
"My name. My name is Annabeth."
"Well Annabeth, I have fallen for you too."
As grey looked in green time stopped. Two star crossed lovers had met under the star-stained Sky, creating a little infinity. The two kissed and an explosion of raw emotion passed between them. Love and passion.
