Can I just start by saying a huge and massive thank you for 1000 reads!!!! I can't believe it!! So, with that here is the one shot.
...
Percy was at war. War, Percy thought, is awful enough as it is, but the hardest part of winning is making a sacrifice. But how do you win when you're at war with yourself??
Thoughts have been conflicting for days, not that he let Annabeth know about that. She would try to help, which would put her in danger.
He knew something was wrong with him every since the war with Gaea was won and himself and Annabeth escaped Tartarus.
He guessed he should of saw it coming. There's a monster in everyone, and his was about to make an appearance.
His dreams had been worse than usual. Dark, dark thoughts, him taking over the world, destroying the Olympians and hurting anything that touched him. Normally he would reject these thoughts and bury them under all the guilt and anger that had built up over the years of being a Demigod.
"That's it Percy, I've had enough. All you're doing is moping around and I want to help you."
"Wise girl, it's just memories. I can deal with it. Don't talk about me. I want to talk about you."
"Fine."
They talked for hours about her, Athena, architecture, her siblings and her family. Never once did she talk about Percy and that's how he wanted it.

At one late point in the evening, Percy and and found himself dreaming about being surrounded in a room full of mirrors, a hazy red mist clinging to Percy. Touching the mirror directly in front of him, an image shimmered into existence. It was him, but not. The other Percy's eyes were endless black pits, skin as pale as an empousa's and a cruel smile plastered on his face.
"Who are you?"
"I'm you of course, Perseus. Except I'm the monster inside you that to strive to keep hidden. The part of you that hates the Gods for what they did to you, the part of you that craves for destruction a you can't keep me hidden for much long." The other Percy smirked.
"No. I won't let you." Percy reached into his pocket, and dream or no dream, Riptide was there. In less than a second the familiar bronze glow of the sword illuminated the darkness. He stabbed the mirror, and glass shattered around him, but the other Percy just laughed and disappeared.
"You'll have to try harder than that!!!!"
Fine, he thought, it's my dream and ill control it. Percy closed his eyes and imagined the daemon as a solid form.
A shimmering cloud of dark smoke rises and forms into a humanoid shape. Bracing himself, Percy lunges.
A/N sorry this has taken so long to get up, and it's still not finished but it's taking so freaking long to write. I mean, it has literally taken 3 days to get this far. Please be patient!!! I will try and finish within the next week or so, but I have just started school. Bye guys!!
