Hello hello! Whether you're a repeat offender or a first timer, I welcome you to this mess. I started writing this (part one) when I was sixteen (so the cringe be real) and finished all the parts not a year later, but I'm reposting this since it was deleted now without editing it, so you're warned. There's no smut, many cringes, some heavier topics skated over (espesh in part dos), and a whole lotta fun. This is all pre the Black Widow movie, so I didn't know they were bringing Yelena into the MCU before I wrote this thing. Thank you for giving this a go all my loves!!

"So, that's it on the tour of the Avengers Tower. What do you think?"

"It's big." That's what she said.

"Yeah, not very homey." He agreed with a smile, turning to you and folding his arms.

You looked up at him with a slight head tilt, wondering why he was staring at you.

"Something wrong?"

"No, no, sorry, it's just I'm trying to figure out why Fury warned us about you."

"Warned you about me?" You scrunched your eyebrows.

"He said to watch out for you, said you're dangerous."

"Ah," You nodded with a knowing smile, "You wanna know what I can do."

"It crossed my mind, yeah."

"I'm not trained," You started, walking down the hall and he matched your stride, "But I was experimented on a bit as I know some of the avengers were, and I can do a few things I guess."

"Care to expand?"

"Gotta a pen?" You asked back and he pulled one out, handing it over.

You threw it out in front of you and kept walking, keeping it floating in front of the both of you.

"You're doing that with your mind?"

"Yeah, and I'm originally from Brooklyn, but I was raised in Russia for most of my teen years while they did stuff to me."

"I was gonna ask – wait, do you read minds?"

"Afraid so, Sam."

"So, this is Steve," Sam pointed out the avengers who were lounging on some sofas in the more common room, "Bucky, Nat, Bruce, and Clint. You'll meet some more eventually, but Coulson needed some help, so I'll meet up with you later, okay?"

Everyone waved and smiled when he pointed them out and you returned it. They seemed so domestic; it was strange to see some of the world's mightiest heroes relaxing.

"Sure, thanks." You smiled gratefully and he jogged off.

"Where you from, kid?" Steve asked, breaking the small moment of awkward silence while you swayed back and forth uncomfortably.

You refused to read their minds out of respect, but when in awkward situations it was really hard.

"Brooklyn."

"Hey, us too." He gestured between himself and Bucky.

"Don't mean to sound creepy," You chuckled to yourself, "But I've done my homework."

"And who's your favorite?" Clint smirked, making you laugh.

After that everyone asked you questions, mainly about your powers and why you agreed to join the team. Everyone, except the redhead, Natasha. She stayed quiet, watching you intently while taking almost calculated sips from her beer. You were hyperaware of your surroundings, so you noticed every time you laughed or smiled at something someone said, she'd squint slightly and take another sip. It almost looked like a private drinking game she was playing with herself and her silence made you wonder if she already hated you.
