Sometimes the world can feel like a massive burning pile of shit and there's no getting out of it, not even for a fucking hit of that fresh air.

But when you start to look at the positives in your life and fight tooth and nail for what you want, the shit can clear, revealing a very scenic field filled with trees, flowers, plants, and wildlife.

In your whole life you never thought you'd get through all the crap, especially not coming out the other side feeling whole again.

After you and Natasha agreed to live in Tony's, now your, cabin, things started to fall into place.

Fury was welcomed back into the tower, but SHIELD was getting rebranded while everyone had to go through a very extensive background check by the one and only Happy Hogan. Tony was given higher access, being able to make orders and go through everything, while him and Pepper prepared to raise their baby in this great city. Surprisingly, Clint was the only Avenger to follow with Fury and even he was being allowed back into the inner circle.

Wanda's private tests and experiments on you were successful, so you chose to take the next step.

You were in the protected room while Bucky and Natasha stood outside the glass and you gave them a thumbs up right before she started.

The pain was nothing like you've ever experienced.

It was both physical and mental, overriding all your control, giving it up to her, and ultimately it stripped you of your powers.

To everyone's shock and relief, you came out the other side virtually unharmed.

Days later, in front of your closest friends who you considered family, you and Natasha exchanged vows on a hill upstate.

It was an incredible ceremony where even Peter and Thor were crying, patting each other on the backs for comfort and nodding through it. You wore a beautiful white dress that Pepper and Wanda helped you find. It was a princess style, flowing out while cinching at the waist with a sweetheart neckline. Natasha went on the simpler side, but still donned a wonderful white dress that made her hair even more vibrant.

You were finally your old self again, your powers gone, and your wonderful wife who you got to see most days of the week when she wasn't down in the city or out saving the world, by your side.

Said beautiful wife was now outside calling the dog, both of you picked up at the shelter a few miles away, inside and you watched from the window, picking up your phone when it rang.

"Hello?"

"Mrs. Romanoff?"

You'd never get tired of hearing that name.

"Yes, this is her."

"I'm Angelica Greenbaum from the New York City adoption agency."

"Oh! Hi!" You greeted a little too excitedly, still watching as Natasha threw the stick into the lake and the golden puppy splashed in the water, swimming hurriedly to retrieve it.

"We have a little girl here I think you and your wife might want to meet."

You were at a loss for words and in the heat of the moment, the phone slipped from your hands, but when you didn't hear it crash to the floor, you looked down and saw it floating just above the height of your ankles. You gasped, covering your mouth, and looked out the window at Natasha, catching the reflection of your eyes that shone a spark of purple in them.
