"All weekend?" You pouted, putting extra clothes into your suitcase, "But I just got you to myself."
She stayed mostly silent since you broke away from breakfast to pack, dragging her along. She watched you and listened to what you said but had very little to contribute. Like now, she's leaning against the door, but keeping her distance as she observes you load more items into your suitcase. Fury was nice enough to issue you your own credit card which led to a night filled with online shopping almost a week back so now pretty much everything had arrived, and you were excited to try some out.
"Bruce wants to check your leg." She said instead, keeping her tone even.
"Nat," You huffed, turning to face her, "What happened?"
"When?" She asked back, crossing her arms, and eyeing you carefully.
"Everything was awesome, but then on the elevator you shut me out again," You explained, putting it all out there, and then mumbled, "Like before we got together, when I thought you hated me."
"What do you think of Carol?" She asked instead and you internally smirked, thinking Bucky may've been right.
"She's cool," You shrugged, being honest, "But we're not super close."
"And if she had asked you out before me?" She ventured cautiously, looking up at you with a quirked eyebrow.
"I might've said yes," You nodded, strolling over to her when she rolled her eyes, clearly not pleased with your answer. You softly pulled her arms down and put them around your waist, your fingers cascading through her hair, convincing her to finally meet your eyes, "If I knew I didn't have a chance with you."
"I'm not jealous," She huffed after you placed a slow kiss to her lips, "If that's what you're thinking."
"Nope." You popped the 'p' and leaned back in again.
"I don't get jealous." She told you, but it sounded like she was more convincing herself.
"Of course not." You smiled teasingly and she sighed, defeated, going to attack your lips with hers.
She walked you back, keeping her lips on you and her hands grabbing at your sides, until the back of your legs hit the bed. You fell back giggling and she smiled against you as she kissed your jaw. She let out a deep breath, pausing her movements, and you opened your eyes to watch her.
"So, you never told me about what was going on in the lab yesterday."
"Was that just yesterday?" You pretended to be surprised and she narrowed her eyes, "And I didn't tell you?" You played with the hem of her sleeve.
"And you're not getting out of it this time." She told you seriously.
"Ya sure?" You bit your lip, wiggling your eyebrows, "No way I can..." You kissed her lips when you saw her eyes darken, "Convince you?"
"What're you hiding?" She whispered; eyes trained on yours.
"Why don't you interrogate me and find out?" You smirked and she rolled her eyes.
"Be serious," She subtly pleaded, knowing she could only resist you for so long, "You really can't tell me?" She looked at you, searching your eyes, and quietly repeated, "Me?"
"It was just some complications with my powers." You mumbled, feeling itching at the uncomfortableness.
"Complications?"
"Well..." You trailed off, your voice going high.
"Baby," She brushed your hair with the tips of her fingers, "You can trust me."
