"Bruce, I'm dying."

"You're not dying," He waved you off and then paused, looking up from the microscope, "Right?"

You woke up that morning with the chills and a terrible cough. You immediately wrapped yourself in a blanket, letting it fly behind you as you made your way to the medical bay's floor that you noted had its own landing strip. Bruce was surprised by your early arrival, assuming he'd have to come get you after breakfast for the tour, until you announced your pain.

"Bruce, it hurts." You whined dramatically, laying on the floor like a starfish, and then when a wave of chills hit you, you curled into the fetal position, clutching the blanket.

"Let me take your temperature." He mumbled, grabbing some things off a shelf and rounding the desk to you.

You sat up with a frown as he crouched down and he clicked it in your ear, looking at it in concern.

"Oh my god, I am dying."

"You're not dying," He gave you a small smile, "But you do have a fever. It could be the flu."

"Or mad cow disease."

"Despite your odd behavior, I don't believe you have mad cow disease because you show no other symptoms."

"Bruce, tell the kids their mama's proud." You begged, laying back down and reaching your hand towards him.

"What kids? Do you have a kid?" He scrunched his eyebrows and peered down at you.

"God no." You made a face of disgust and he chuckled.

"Morning, Banner," Tony greeted him, coming into the room, and when he noticed you on the floor, he added, "What's with the new rug?"

"Bruce, tell him."

"Tell me what?" Tony looked to the doctor and he shrugged, looking back to you.

"Tell him I'm dying; he deserves to know."

"She might have the flu." Bruce told him plainly and then went back to work.

"You need to leave then because I'm not getting sick," Tony told you, "Stay in your room and if you need something, let FRIDAY know because I can't have anyone bailing these next few days because of your disease-ridden ass."

"You're locking a sick woman in her room until further notice? That's downright criminal!" You yelled, standing up, and clutching your blanket.

"Don't make me spray you with disinfectant." Tony threatened and Bruce looked up.

"Will there be snacks?" You asked with raised eyebrows and your eyes half closed after considering your options.

"They'll be dropped at your door so just text me what you want, and I'll have someone bring them." He told you with one hand on his hip and the other shooing you away.

"Sweet, thanks guys!" You cheered with a smile that fell when you started coughing, leaving quickly when you heard Tony let out a small gasp.

You held the blanket close to you and in the elevator, you went to your contacts, remembering you never got his number. Your first thought was to turn back and get it, but instead, you tried something else.

"FRIDAY?" You called out shyly, not sure if you were just making a fool out of yourself for trying until a voice boomed through the elevator.

"Yes, Miss L/n?"

"I need Tony's number, I forgot to get it."

"No problem." It then proceeded to relay it as you typed it into your phone.
