The Confrontation

Y/n portaled away, not sure where they are going, but knowing that they have to get away. Away from AMalia, and away from Yugo and Adamai, as much as that hurt. Y/n isn't sure what tp think. They didn't think Yugo and Adamai had it in them to kill, let along them, or Amalia, as much as she deserved it in that timeline. Y/n stops at a cliff, panting and feeling drained of their energy, but mentally and emotioanlly, not physically. They could travel for abit more via portals before being forced to stop. Y/n sighs and sits down, looking at the stars and moon, wondering what happened.

Eve: That happened last timeline. Yugo and Adamai likely know you've left by now, and are probably searching for you.

Y/n:...and what do I do now? I don't even know what to think. Have they known this entire time? Have they been lying to me? Is that how they knew things about me that I haven't even told them?

Eve, sighing: Yes, that is how they know...I only remember what happened last life/timeline due to my status as a star. The...memories of the previous timeline might start to appear now that you remember your death in that timeline.

Y/n: But what do I do, Eve? I-I don't knowwhat to think....I know those two won't tell the others what happened if I choose to leave...

Eve: You want my honest opinion? I do think you should leave, but only for a little bit to find yourself. I still remember the directions to Brakmar, so you can meet up with them there...so you can give Skribble to Yugo and Adamai, okay?

Y/n, sighs and nods: yes, Eve...i-it's probably for the best, and I'll have Midnight with me when I go.

Yugo:...go where?

Y/n, sighing softly:...when I leave. I-i'll meet back up with you all, but I think I should leave for now....I-I need to think...

Adamai: But why?! Are we not good enough for you?!

Y/n, shaking their head: I-it's not that Ad!....i-it's just-

Yugo, eyes shadowed:...you saw your death, didn't you?

Y/n hesitates, but nods as Adamai looks at Yugo, who just walks over to Y/n and sits next to them, putting his head on her shoulder, causing her to tense.

Yugo:...we aren't going to hurt you. We wouldn't dare dream of it...We can explain our side of it if you want us to.

Y/n hesitates slightly, but nods.

Y/n: t-that'd...that'd help, alot.

Adamai watches the two, before walking over and sitting down next to Y/n, leaning on them.

Adamai: Where do you want us to start?

Y/n:..the beginning would be nice.

Adamai, nodding: I don't know much about your adventures before meeting Yugo, so he can talk about those.

Y/n nods, hugging themselves. Yugo notices and sighs, turning Y/n's head towards him and giving them a kiss on the forehead, causing them to blush and close their eyes.

Yugo: We won't hrut you, and we'll respect your decision, even if it hurts.

Y/n nods, looking down, before nodding at Yugo. Yugo takes this as confirmation to start.

Yugo: Remember how we met in Emelka? How we would play together, have sleepovers, and just being friends in general?

Y/n nods, making a noise of confirmation as Adamai listens as well.

Yugo: that...didn't happen last time. I only first met you in Bonta, and we had bonded at being the same sepcies, and then Nox happened, attacking Jade and Ja-ren, making them old like my dad Alibert. Ruby and Ren were left in the care of Jude back in Emelka while you joined us in our adventure to stop Nox. At the time, it was only Me, Amalia, and Az...and then we met you, and then you and Midnight joined our adventure, and you already had Skribble with you because Ja-ren knew someone in the Kelba market.

Y/n nods, listening intently as does Adamai, leaning forward. Yugo takes a breath and sighs, continuing.

Yugo: the demonic roses happened a few weeks after Bonta, instead of before and Amalia was the one that ended up being bit, so we had to get the Severum sap, and on the way, we met Ruel, who helped us. We got the sap and came back, making Amalia drink the sap, but she slipped something into my drink to make me fall in love with her. I didn't notice at first, but you did! You confronted me about it and helped me get it out of my system! Amalia...she noticed and didn't like it, and Ruel didn't know anything because he was new to the group at the time...Alot of our adventures happened in a weird order, but the order they happened in now? That's the order it should have happened in...I was so prepared to pull you out of danger myself if I had to, but you kept proving that you can take care of yourself! It makes me worry, but still....I still worry about you. I was so worried that Amalia would try to do the same thing, but she didn't....until Dally's statue when you had to hold us back from killing her.

Y/n sweatdrops and nods, now calmer. Adamai huffs and rolls his eyes, crossing his arms.

Adamai: I still think we shuld have done it!

Yugo: And be at war with the Sadida's? No thanks. It'd be...best to keep them as allies rather than enemies.

Y/n sighs and nods whiel Adamai huffs, smoke coming out of his nostrils and mouth as he looks away, mumbling under his breath.

Yugo and Adamai have now explained everything from their beginnings, to the spaces in between, to the end. Y.n is wrapping their head around this information, unsure of how to react. Y/n wordlessly stands up and reaches into their haven bag, grabbing Skribble and handing him to Yugo, who blinks and takes him.

Adamai: Y/n...what's wrong?

Y/n:...this is where we part ways for now Adamai, Yugo.

Adamai: But you can't! You have to stay! You have to stay with us!

Y/n:...you said you'd respect my decision didn't you? So please respect my decision of me leaving briefly. I will meet you two again, promise. I should be back when you two reach Brankmar.

Yugo: I-...but what about Amalia? I don't know if we will have enough self-control to not hurt her.

Y/n:..you have the mental link, both of you do. So if you feel overwhelmed, tell me and I'll help the best I can, okay?

Adamai: But how will you reach Brakmar without Skribble?

Y/n just smiles softly and taps their knuckles against their head gently.

Y/n: Don't worry, I have a guide...and I do need directions, I'll ask, okay?

Adamai: I...don't like this. I don't like the idea of you leaving like this...

Y/n, smiling softly: I know, I don't like it either.

Adamai: then why can't you stay? Why can't you stay with us?!

Y/n: I...have some things I need to work out, things I need to do alone....I'm sorry, but you can always talk to me mentally.

Y/n leans down and kisses Adamai and Yugo's foreheads, before quickly portaling away, well aware of how much the boys self-control will decline now that they have left.

Adamai: Y/N!! COME BACK!

Yugo: Y/N! PLEASE COME BACK! WE MISS YOU!

Y/n says nothing, though tears run don their face as they zip away, getting as far away as possible, using the starsand moon as their guide as the cliffside gets smaller and smaller the more they leave. I wonder what will happen now. Will Y/n find more friends? New people? Perhaps even some of their own people. Only time will tell my friends, after all, the Xelor's clock never stops ticking, even as people descend into the beyond.
