Nightmares of Death

Y/n has still been asleep for the past few days, their body still recovering from the injuries inflicted upon them and the grim magic, and so far, they're winning. However, Yugo and Adamai are getting more concerned and more unhinged the more Y/n sleeps, but at least the haven bag is safe for them to stay in. At the moment, Yugo and Adamai are in the haven bag, sleeping next to them to make sure Y/n is still okay. However, not all is peaceful since a sneaky feline sneaks into the bag, eyes glowing as they cast a tiny spell on the royal trio, making them watch what would have happened if Y/n had died during that attack.

Midnight, quietly: Forgive me Y/n...but this is for the best...

Midnight sighs, glancing back at the trio, before exiting the bag and curling up around it.

~~Mindscape-Nightmare~~

The royal trio find themselves in the same building Y/n was before, moments after Y/n had fainted, but because of that factor, Y/n is watching the nightmare from a third person's perspective, being forced to watch. Yugo and Adamai are confused briefly before their eyes land on Y/n's body, that was hidden under Rubilan.

Yugo/Adamai: Y/N!?!

The two rush over and cradle Y/n's body in their hands, not liking how cold they are rapidly getting as tears stream down their faces.

Adamai: c-come on...wake up...please...

Yugo: please Y/n...wake up...we need you...

Rubilan sighs, bowing their head in sadness and guilt at not being able to protect them.

Rubilan: I'm sorry....she's gone...

Yugo: N-no, they can't be-

Yugo and Adamai then tense, feeling Y/n's wakfu leave this world and return to their dofus. Their eyes go wide in horror as they shake, unable to comprehend what just happened. The two laugh softly, not wanting to believe this.

Yugo: n-no..you're just playing a prank on us...just like old times...you're just pranking us....

Adamai, nodding: y-yeah..this is just a prank!...y-you'll wake up and we'll laugh about it later!..

Rubilan, frowning: Yugo...Adamai...

Yugo and Adamai shake with laughter, in denial about Y/n being dead. They refuse to believe it. They turn, smiling at Rubilan as tears roll down their faces, insane glints in their eyes.

Yugo:...what's wrong Rubilan? They're just playing a game! They'll wake up soon!

Adamai, nodding: mhm! She'll wake up and everything will be okay!

Dally, taking a step forward: Yugo, Adamai...she's gone. There's nothing we can do...

Yugo and Adamai shake their heads, still in denial as they hold Y/n's lifeless corpse in their hands, ignoring how cold they are.

Yugo: oh Dally...she's just asleep! When she wakes up, we'll play together again!

Adamai, nodding: yup! She'll wake up, tell us it was a prank, and we'll laugh about it.

Rubilan, Cleome, Dally, and Ruel share a look, all of them having bad feelings in their stomachs. Rubilan turns to the sick children and nudges them out of the hole of the wall, telling them to leave. The children don't need to be told twice as they bolt away, scared for their lives. Rubilan frowns and turns around to the insane kings, knowing her end is coming.
