Fireworks

A/N: happy late 4th of July! Lol I spent the whole day at my moms friends house and didn't get home till like 10:00 pm. Sorry this is late. But here you go <3

It was the 4th of July and all you were excited about was the fireworks. Besides the fact you were spending the day with your boyfriend Kellin Quinn. There was a lake down the street from you where they had a firework show at night for 4th of July. Kellin had a concert today in the park down the street too. And then you were going to barbecue and then as it got dark go to the lake! It was a perfect day.

You woke up and Kellin was already out of bed. You walked into the kitchen and there he was. In his sweatpants and shirtless. You smirked as you were looking at him up and down. You wrapped your arms around his waist and laid your head on his shoulder.

"Do you want any help baby?" You smiled as you kissed his soft spot on his neck. He giggled as he pushed you away as you were teasing him.

"No it's okay I got this baby. But thank you (Y/N)." He smiled.

"Okay." You kissed his cheek and walked to the counter and sat down. The plates and utensils were already set and he brought over the eggs and pancakes and served them. You both are happily.

"You need to start getting ready baby." You said with your mouth full. It was 1:30 pm and Kellin had to get to sound check for the show this afternoon.

"I know. I'm going to head in the shower okay?" He got up and kissed your cheek then washed his plate once he was done eating.

"Thanks for the breakfast babe." You got up and pecked his lips. He passionately kissed you and pushed you against the counter. Then he quickly pulled away and smirked.

"That's for teasing me!" He smiled and stuck his tongue out as he disappeared around the corner. You rolled your eyes and smiled. You continued eating in peace and once you were done you did the dishes and cleaned up.

"What a good girlfriend." You turned around and Kellin was smiling as he was leaning against the wall wearing an American flag shirt, skinny jeans, TOMS, sunglasses and he had wet hair from taking a shower.

"Kellin it's 3:30 go babe." You smiled as you walked over to him placing your hands around his waist pulling him to you.

"Okay. Can you buy the hot dogs and stuff for the barbecue and meet me later after the show?" He smiled.

"What if I want to watch you?" You smiled as you pecked his lips.

"Okay. Just bring the stuff and a jacket!" He smiled as he grabbed your hands and held them.

"Okay. See you later Kellin." You kissed him and he left.

You went and took a shower and got changed. A navy blue tank top and some skinny jeans with a red flannel wrapped around your waist with your skater high tops. You applied your usual foundation, mascara, and eyeliner and brushed out your hair. It was now 4:00 pm, and Kellin's show had just started. You grabbed your sunglasses and headed to the grocery store for some stuff for tonight. You grabbed hot dogs, hot dog buns, Mountain Dew & Dr. Pepper, some chips, and some candy of course. As you were heading to the check out line you passed a stand for some little fire work stuff being displayed. You thought for a moment and then decided to grab the TNT pop it's that you throw on the ground they pop. You grabbed two boxes and checked out. It was now 5:00 and you headed home to organize the stuff for the barbecue. You grabbed the sodas, chips, hot dogs, napkins, plates, candy, cups, tongs, ketchup, etc. And put them all in one big bag along with a cooler for the drinks and ice. You also grabbed some blankets to put around yourself, your pierce the veil jacket, and Kellin's anthem jacket. You checked inside the grocery bag and the Pop It's were still in there. You grabbed a small box and put them in the large bag with the blankets and jackets. You smiled down at the container in your hand as you couldn't wait to throw them at Kellin. You were set and put all the stuff in the trunk of your black mustang.

You headed to the concert in the park and continued to watch the last 30 minutes of the show. SWS played "Roger Rabbit", "Fly", "Better Off Dead", "If I'm James Dean You're Audrey Hepbrun", "The Strays", and of course "Can't Hang". They were awesome and amazing as always. Once they were done with their set a new and up coming band had taken the stage and Kellin was headed in your direction as well as the guys to say hello. They greeted you and you smiled back to them. Kellin greeted you with a hug and a kiss.

"We're gonna to go to the lake and barbecue as we wait for the fireworks, happy 4th guys." You smiled to them and went into the front seat of the car after you said goodbye and hugged the guys. Kellin was still talking and bro hugging them. It was now 6:30 pm and you drove to the lake. It took a while to find a parking space and to find a grill that wasn't crowded or taken. Kellin held the cooler as you had the bag of food and you both held hands as you found a place to set up. There was a bench where you put down the stuff as Kellin manned the grill. You placed everything out and opened the chips and hot dogs as you handed the package to Kellin. It was starting to get cold and so you put on your pierce the veil jacket. You grabbed two cups and filled them with soda. It was now 7:30 pm and the fireworks started at 9:00 pm. When we were waiting for the hot dogs to cook, Kellin came over and sat down next to you.

"Your show was awesome. As always." You smiled.

"Thanks babe." He out his arm around you and kissed your head. He grabbed his jacket and put it on as well.

"I have something for you." You smiled as you got up and grabbed the box of the pop-it's. His face lit up and knew exactly what they were. You handed him the box and he opened it immediately.

"I remember when I threw these at cars in like 4th grade." He laughed. He threw one onto the side walk and scared a few people and you both tried not to laugh.

"Sorry!" You shouted lying. You both laughed and Kellin checked on the hot dogs. They were done and you handed him a plate to put them on. You both say down and ate together.

"These are really good. Good job baby." You smiled at him.

"Yes they are, haha thank you." He smiled back. Once you both finished eating it was now 8:30 and the fireworks would be starting soon.

In the mean time you both had a war throwing the pop it's at each other as it got dark. Kellin had hit you and everytime it hurt but it was so fun. You eventually gave up and put your hands in the air to surrender.

"I'm out! I surrender!" You laughed. He grabbed you as you were walking backwards. He grabbed you and picked you up as he sat down on the bench, putting you to sit on his lap. You both laughed and you grabbed the blanket and put it around you as he wrapped his arms around you. You smiled as you took a selfie together. You were smiling in the picture and Kellin was kissing your cheek. You took the picture and then turned his face to kiss his lips. You both smiled as the kiss broke apart. He stroked your cheek and then a boom collapsed in the sky. The show was starting.

All the array of different colors and different patterns that gleamed in the sky were absolutely beautiful. This moment was beautiful and perfect in every way. The way Kellin held you, the way he kissed you, the way the fireworks reflected off the water, the way the fireworks were so close and so beautiful, the moment was so perfect. You turned to see Kellin and saw as the fireworks shined off his beautiful green eyes as he smiled. He then turned to see you smiling and staring at him. He grabbed your face and kissed you passionately. And you smiled through the kiss.

Nothing else could be even more perfect in this moment. <3
