Lara's POV

I let sleep slowly invade my senses as I could feel the sun rising.

I stood in the rose greenhouse yet again but this time no Adonis. Not a single soul. It was oddly cold, but I was not alone. I could not see anyone no matter where I looked, left right up or any which direction, I saw no one.

"I know your there." I finally said taking a step forward.

There was silence. The only sound you could hear was my footsteps as they hit the pedal pathway.

"Show yourself." I commanded.

"You are very demanding. As expected for a vampire created by me. A true leader my perfect prodigy, my perfect doll, my perfect plan. Lara how does it go? or should I address you as Lilith. Oh, but names don't matter... You could even decide what name you want when you are stetted on the throne. Oh, how perfect you have been. Even without my instructions you have concocted the most perfect plan for me." He responded. Gabrel. He stood in front of me looking as triumphant as ever. His face had this absolutely aggravating smile plastered on it.

"Even in my dreams you are a menace. What magic are you using now?" I sighed as I picked up a potted aloe vera plant.

"I am using no magic whatsoever my pretty little plan." He said wagging his pointer finger as if speaking to a petulant child.

I threw the potted plant aiming is directly at his head, but it just passed right through him and broke on the floor right behind him. I smirk. He is not truly here which means I just have get rid of him.

Mom once told me that dream magic usually has a pinpoint which can easily be destroyed if you destroy the point in in the dream world. Good thing I paid attention during the witch masterclass.

"Now that's not nice my creature." Gabrel retorted.

"You said I was your perfect plan. How sure of that are you?" I said to try and distract him so I could find the object that allowed him to drift here. It had to be translucent or a different color or texture from everything else in the room.

"Well, you see darling I happen to be the fractious little brat's uncle." He began.

"The brat?" I questioned.

"Adonis. I am his father's older brother but when I was just a spry 85 our father banished me from noble society and dared to even demote me FROM MY BIRTHRIGHTE, HE GAVE THAT SPINELSESS, HALFWHIT YOUNGER BROTHER OF MINE."  He responded. Left conner cleared

"So?" I retorted quickly.

"I am taking back EVERTHING that belonged to me before it was stolen from me." He spoke.

" This where you fit in my dearest Little Lara. You have a life bond with the brat so all you have to do is stay asleep because if you sleep, he sleeps. Do me the biggest favor and be obedient just stay asleep for me. Understood?" He said. Middle row cleared

"What's in it for me?" I asked.

"You see Lara, I am banished from ever taking the throne unless of course I am willing to die. My father had the head mage curse me when I was banished but nothing in the curse says a vampire created by me can't take the throne. So, this is where you come in. You, my sleeping beauty just have to stay asleep so the idiot can't wake up and mobilize his army and I will infiltrate his little castle and by then it will be too late for them to do anything, and we will imprison the basted and you will be the queen of vampires and I your loyal advisor." He plotted. Found it.

It was a white rose in a bush of red ones. I approached it.

"I don't trust you Gabrel. How can I trust you. You could just be lying to me after all." I said feigning concern.

"Don't worry my dearest creation, I will simply have to give you my most prized familiar. Alex. He will be by your side when you awaken but he will stay guard while you sleep. He should arrive briefly." He responded.

"Well lets part ways Gabrel. You have been most entertaining today." I said. I swiftly plucked the flower and crushed it in my hands as I watched Gabrel's face drop as he glitched and then faded away in a puff of white smoke.

I sighed as I turned my focus on to finding Adonis. If he even is here.

"BLOODSUCKER. ADONIS."I called out.

"ADONIS ARE YOU THERE! HELLO! BLOODSUCKER! ARE YOU IGNORING ME." I continued as I began to wonder the greenhouse.

Until I saw him seated at a bench facing this large purple flower.

"I see you are also here." I said as I sat next to him.

"I can't move." He said with this mildly panicked voice, but his face heled the same neutral expression.

"What?" I asked.

"I can't move a muscle ever since I fell into the dream world." He said.

"Shame." I cooed.

"I'm serious. Wake us up now." He demanded

"Oh, look at you making all these demands." I responded plopping myself further into the bench.

"Lara." He began.

"Lilith." I corrected.

"What?" He asked.

"My real name is Lilith." I said turning my head to face the purple flower in front of us.

"Well Lilith... Wake us up." He said almost cautiously.

"No." I responded.

"Lilith." He spat.

"Beg." I said.

"What?" He asked bewildered.

"Beg me." I spoke.

There was a brief period of silence between us.

"Please. Please Lilith. It's time for us to wake up now." He pleaded.

I smiled and closed my eyes.

That's why I was smirking in front of Adonis as he tried to conduct a very serious ceremony of hand over some new advisors to me.

"And thus, Duchess Lillith Arlington do you accept these two honorable and wise individuals as your advisors." Adonis spoke as he walked toward me to hand me the letters of appointment for the two vampires who applied to be my advisors.

"Yes, I accept them." I spoke projecting my voice so everyone could hear.

"I'll be pleased to accept them." I whispered just enough for him to hear me but not enough for anyone else.

Then an interesting gift was given to me, the vampire blushed, or whatever the equivalent of that is in vampiric terms.

It seems I am not the only one who saw that because there was a bit if a vocal buzz amongst the vampires who were close enough to witness it. Unfortunately, as quickly as it came it disappeared.

"I'll speak with you in my office after this." He said through a telepathic message.
