WTF

Lara's POV 

I was running as fast as my legs would take me, I could feel them following me. The pain in my feet did not matter all that mattered was getting as far away as I could.

After what felt like hours of me running I lost them I was now alone in the forest, it was dark and damp. I don't know where I am and I don't know which way is safety.

Out of all the confusion, there is one very clear fact, I am not alone in these woods, Someone or something is watching me. 

I look around to try to familiarise my surroundings but I am still so lost.

Then I heard a growl from behind me and before I could turn I was pushed to the ground by a large furry animal.

I was trying so hard to fight it off but I bit my shoulders I was in even more pain but after that one bite, it let me go and ran off in the darkness of the forest.

I dragged my sore bleeding body in the opposite direction that the animal ran in.

I was trying to move further but I fell and there I laid unable to move and slowly I lost consciousness. This was it this I how my story ends. At least I tried to put up a fight.

Goodbye mother, Goodbye brother I hope to see you again.

I open my eyes and to my surprise, I was in the hospital and my best friend Pamela was sleeping next to me in a chair. I was right it was all just a nightmare and I just fainted after I fell.

"Pam," I whispered in a hoarse voice. "Pamela!" I said louder and this time she woke up with a fright. "Lara! you are awake!" she screamed then hugged me tightly causing me to grunt in pain. "Sorry, NURSE, NURSE!" she yelled. The nurse came running in and when she saw me her face lit up.

"Your awake thank goodness." she said."What happened?" I asked."You were attacked by a wolf in the forest near the campus, Lara you were missing for 17 days! we should be asking you what happened, your mum is worried sick she is on a flight right now coming here, Lara what happened?" Pam asked I could see the tears in her eyes I wish I my self knew what happened. "It's okay amnesia is common with trauma patients so no pressure dear I will get the doctor," The nurse said nicely before leaving. 

I am still so confused I don't know what exactly happened. What was real and what was maybe a fraction of my imagination.

"Lara are you okay?" Pamela asked. "No, I just, I don't know. Pamela, you said I was found near the campus, how? I never entered the forest through the campus." I said trying to figure out how I got there, was I there all along? so close to help.

A knock n the door brought me out of my train of thoughts, it was a tall, slim, pale, hazel-eyed doctor with a kind smile on his chiseled face. "Miss Shabalala. I am Doctor Smith, How are you this afternoon?" he asked kindly. "I am awake I guess?" I said unsure of my answer. "Miss Khoza will you please excuse us for a moment we need to speak about some very confidential information with miss Shabalala." The doctor said to Pam. She slowly got up looking to me to see if I was okay with that I nodded my head slightly.

After Pam left the doctor sat down where Pam had been sitting, he had a very serious look on his face. "We know what you are." he said. "What am I?" I asked confused what am I? I am human what the f. "You are a vampire," he said. What? so everything was real. "You were attacked by a werewolf, which would signal the end of a vampires life no vampire can survive a werewolf's bite so Miss Shabalala tell me how is a fledgling like you alive?" the doctor questioned. "I don't know but when I was with these guys they said that I was a repellent, what is that?" I asked. The doctor looked shocked he looked at the nurse who shared the same expression. "It means that instead of drinking human blood to survive you drink vampire blood, but it is impossible repellents have been extinct for the past 300 years." the nurse said. "But still how did you survive the werewolf bite?" the doctor asked looking at me. "I don't know." I said

When I got back to my dorm I had so many questions that I needed answers to but no one was there to answer them I don't know how I am supposed to survive. Dr Smith had ignored me like Jake Eddy James and Gabe did the thought of them brought tears to my eyes.

I had crawled into bed and layed there crying. I know that I was not that close to them but for a very short time I had a family together under the same roof.

I was feeling empty almost as if there was a hole in my chest that kept getting bigger the more I thought about them.

I felt as if that little utopia, joy and quiet frankly dream I was living in was snatched form me.

It has to be my luck. Getting cheated on and dieing then gaining a new'family' and watching them being killed because of a childish king.

I heard a knock on my door but I ignored it.

"Lara, babe? I knew you are in there. Listen babe I love you what happened with Alyssa was a mistake.' he said.

He knocked again and at this point I was getting angry again.

I decided to go ahead and do it this time.
