Lara's pov

"Well what misfortune shall befall upon me today?" I said dramatic as I picked up the head of old Duke Weirdo.

Inspecting it I realized that his jaw had gone slack, well what was left of it, his face was going black and had began to hollow out and his eyes started back with a glazed shocked look while they turned from red to black rapidly.

"What do you mean by that?" Adonis asked.

"Whenever you are involved my life is always flipped upside down." I said.

"Don't you think Duke Weirdo?" I asked the head.

"I can't think I'm dead." I said in a mocking voice.

"That's sick." Adonis said.

"Whatever, why are you here?" I asked.

"Well if you must know I missed your beautiful face so much I could not stand it and so I traveled the treacherous seas just to be reunited with you my beautiful assassin's." Adorable said dramatically as if he were an amateur Broadway actor.

I picked up the knife the was previously used against me. He immediately straightened his posture and cleared his throat.

"I mean I was actually here to investigate Baron Johnson's involvement in the murder of Duke and Duchess Arlington. You can put the knife down." He said.

"What if I don't?"I threatened.

"Then I would have to defend myself." He said.

Speeding towards me in our inhumane speed I was pinned down on to the bed at the far end of the room. With my hands above my head our bodies were flushed together. I could feel his slightly warmer body pressed against mine. He's face was close to mine, our eyes looked. That's when I felt this warm pull again. Just looking into his eyes seemed to have pulled my consciousness towards him and only him.

I quickly snapped myself out of it and flipped us over leaving us in a position where I was straddling him with my hand around his neck. His eyes still looked unfocused for a moment until he also snapped back to reality eventually.

We stayed in that position for a brief minute not know what to do.

"You won't kill me right?" He asked.

There was a pause.

"I don't know, maybe, maybe not." I said tightening my grip on his neck. His hands grasped on to my thighs which were near his sides.

That single handedly stirred an emotion within me. I can't explain it but it made me tingling and very very thirsty.

I removed my hand form his neck and instead moved them to caress his chest. I began to get closer and closer to him, I placed my hand behind him neck and drew him closer then sunk my fangs into the nape of his neck.

I remember the cold then hot then cold and feeling that rushed through my body as I drank. I stopped when I realized what I was doing. Recoiling away from him and letting his neck drip back on to the bed. The wound on his neck healed almost immediately.

"What the hell is going on here?" I heard someone say, I heard Camila say to be more specific.

Adonis and I snapped our heads in the direction of the door. Like deer in headlights we froze.

Camila looked pissed and confused but also concerned. It was honestly a lot of emotions going on on her vampire face.

"Uhmmm I- he- uhh we were just..." I tried to explain. Adonis had sat up at this point and our chests were flush again.

"We're just talking." He said.

I stood up and helped him up by offering him a hand.

I don't know why but I felt like a teenager getting caught in the act.

"So I'll just..." I said  gesturing to the door. Adonis looked at me with with a similar look of awkwardness.

"Yeah. Uhh travel safe." He said. What?

That whole interaction was a mess.

Camila however did not move from the door.

"If you treat a woman like this you must take responsibility your Majesty." Camila said in a very formal tone.

" What!?" Me and Adonis exclaimed at the same time.

"You understood what I am implying your Majesty, if people within our community find out what has transpired here she would be in scandal." Camila said with a very surprising Court lady tone. What has gotten into her.

"Her!? What about me!? What will happen if I suddenly marry the woman who tried to kill me!?" Adonis said fuming.

"It would tell them that you have a weird kink." Camila said in her normal deadpan voice. "Oh but the all the horrible rumors that would spread about the poor, innocent, orphan fledgling with no standing in society." She said with the court lady tone coming back. She was now stand near me with a judgmental gaze casted upon Adonis.

"Play along you are going to need the protection of a king if you want to find out the truth." She said in my head

"What? Since when could you do that also no why would I do that?"  I responded.

"I just told you, you dunce. Who in their rights mind would mess with the queen." She said.

"Her! Innocent! She is far from that!" Adonis said. I glared at him. He stiffened again.

Well I never thought I would be apart of a political marriage.

I threw myself on to Camila's shoulder and began to very loudly and dramatically 'cry'.

"But your Majesty you said you loved me!" I said loudly 'bawling'.

I didn't however expect what Adonis did next.

"And you said you had another lover!" He said, his voice was louder than mine and he was doing a more convincing job at being a scorned lover.

"You promised me the world!" I screamed, I will not accept defeat.

"I promised you the world!" He screamed back.

"I loved you with all my heart.!" I said.

"I love you with all my heart!" He said. Since when?!

At this point a lot of vampires were crowded at the door watching their king in a 'lover's quarrel'. They looked entertained.

"I gave you my first.." I began to 'sob' how far can we take this.

"You were my first love." He said.

"So please my love, don't leave me." He said. What?

I didn't know how to react so I pulled out a page from k dramas.

"I will never leave you." I said through 'tears'

Camila shut the door quickly after I said that.

"Talk about Telenovela." She said telepathically.

Me and Adonis sighed then made eye contact and for some reason seeing each other in this manner caused us to burst out laughing. Almost like a mutual agreement of we have done well.
