When I went to Whitney's for our weekly meeting a few days later, I felt like I had to be extra careful with our interactions.

I tried my best to keep it normal and professional, but that was much easier said than done.

"Hey Bailey," she said as I came into her office.

"Hello there professor," I grinned.

She looked up at me with a mischievous look in her eye as she returned my smile.

"Don't give me that look," I said quietly.

"I'm not giving you any look," she said as she shuffled through the papers on her desk.

I shook my head at her as I sat down and waited to see what we needed to work on.

"Here's a few quizzes for you to grade," she said as she handed me a pile of papers, "and then we'll figure out some details for next week's classes."

"Okay," I sighed, "sounds good."

"And do me a favor and don't sound so enthusiastic about it," she said.

"Sorry," I said as I looked up at her, "there's just other things I'd rather be doing."

Now it was Whitney's turn to shake her head at me. I was really doing great with the whole professional thing so far.

"Keep it in your pants," she mumbled as she tried to hide her smile.

I looked down at the papers in front of me and did my best to finish what I needed to. We worked for a while on the upcoming schedule, and once we got into things it was a little easier to focus.

"Alright," Whitney sighed, "I think we're good for today."

"Sounds good," I said.

I pushed my chair back and stood up as I walked towards the door. I shut it quietly before I turned back and walked towards Whitney's desk.

She looked up at me as I leaned over top of it and brought my face close to hers.

"Yes?" She said with a smirk.

"Come stay with me tonight," I said quietly as I kissed her.

"Hmm, I'm not so sure about that," she teased.

I put my hand on the side of her face and kissed her again, making sure that this one was more intentional.

"Okay," she nodded, "I'm convinced now."

"Good," I grinned as I finally leaned back, "let me know when you're coming?"

"I will," she said, "I'll text you later."

"And by the way," she continued, "you're kind of reckless."

"Oh I know," I responded with a smirk, "see you soon."

I walked out of her office and left the door open behind me, feeling pretty pleased with myself.

When I got back to the apartment, Gabbie and Kaia both looked like they were getting ready to go somewhere.

"Hey Bailey," Kaia said, "want to join us for dinner?"

"Carson is coming too," Gabbie said.

"Thanks but Whitney is coming over soon, so I'll have to pass," I said, "which means that you two fuckers can't be weirdos about it when you get back."

"We wouldn't dare," Kaia said sarcastically.

"Yeah I saw how well that went last time that she stopped by," I said.

"We'll behave," Gabbie said as she smiled at me.

"Thank you," I nodded, "please do."

They finished getting ready and left a few minutes later, and I took the time to straighten everything up a little bit. We did a pretty good job at keeping our place clean, but I was all of a sudden nervous about Whitney seeing it.
