*5 Months Later*

"We survived!!" Kaia shouted as I walked into the apartment.

We had all just finished the last of our finals and were getting ready to celebrate.

"Shit I'm glad this year is over with," I said.

I walked over to the fridge and grabbed each of us a drink. I handed them out and I held my bottle out in front of me.

"Cheers," I said, "to being fucking done!"

"Oh I will absolutely cheers to that," Kaia said.

"Come on Gabs," I said as I nudged her, "I know you're more of a nerd than we are but you still have to be happy that we're about to graduate."

"Thank you for that," she grinned, "and I am, don't worry."

We clinked our bottles together before we all started to drink.

After all of the shit I'd been through in the first semester, the last one had seemed like an absolute breeze.

Thankfully I only saw Whitney on campus a few times, most of my classes weren't anywhere close to her office.

I had seen her out a couple of times too, but it was always in a big enough crowd that I was able to avoid talking to her at all costs. It got a little easier, but not much.

I tried to go back to having meaningless flings, and Tanner and I even briefly gave it another chance, but it was never worth it.

To say that I was ready to be done with this school and move on was an understatement.

"Alright," Kaia said as she clapped her hands together and pulled me away from my thoughts, "let's get ready, I want to go out soon."

"Here, here," I said as I raised my bottle, "but I'm not trying to be dead for graduation tomorrow, so I'm not going too crazy."

"I agree," Gabbie said, "that would be miserable."

"Suit yourselves," Kaia shrugged.

We all went to our rooms to get ready, and we reconvened in the kitchen a couple of hours later.

"Everyone ready?" I asked.

"Yup," Gabbie said, "dinner first and then the bar, right?"

"I'd just be going straight to the bar if it were me," Kaia said, "but yeah I guess that's our plan."

Gabbie and I both rolled our eyes at her before we took off out the front door.

We went to a pretty nice place for dinner as we continued to celebrate our graduation. It was pretty likely that the celebration was going to last for most of the weekend, and I was excited.

Once we were done, we walked the short distance over to the bar. It wasn't too crowded when we got there, and we found a booth and got settled in.

"I'm surprised there aren't more people here with it being graduation weekend," Gabbie said.

"I kind of am too," I agreed, "but we are kind of early, I bet a lot more people will show up."
