As the sun shone brightly over Mathura, the young princes Krishna and Balram stood tall in their shining armor, their hair tied back in determination. The anticipation of battle only fueled their courage, as they prepared to face the impending attack from the mighty Magadh army.
Their brave mothers, Devaki and Rohini, stood before them with pride and love shining in their eyes. With hands trembling slightly, they applied tilak on the foreheads of their sons, silently offering prayers for their safety and victory.
"Aaj tum dono ka pratham yudh hai." Rohini said, "Aisa parakram dikhana ki Yaduo ko kirti mile."
Devaki said, "Humara sheesh garv se ucha rehna chahiye, putro."
The weight of worry and fear was evident in their expressions, but they remained strong for their sons, knowing that they were destined for greatness. Krishna and Balram bowed down in front of their mothers, a gesture of respect and gratitude and reached out to touch the feet of Devaki and Rohini, seeking their blessings and seeking strength from their maternal love.
"Vijayi bhava !" They blessed.
Turning to their father, Vasudev, the young princes approached him with a mix of determination and respect. Vasudev, with a mixture of worry and pride in his eyes, looked at his sons as they touched his feet in a gesture of love and humility. His heart swelled with emotions as he realized the weight of the challenge ahead for his beloved sons.
Keeping his hands over their heads, "Tum dono vijayi hoge, isme koi sandeh nahi. Jaao aur apne purkho ko gaurav do."
Krishna and Balram then looked on at their younger brothers, especially Gad, who looked on with worry etched on their faces, they stood behind their mothers, who were equally concerned. Sensing their concern, Krishna and Balram gave them reassuring smiles, their eyes filled with determination and confidence.
After receiving blessings from their family and elders, they descended down the stairs with determination etched on their faces. The air crackled with anticipation as they prepared to face the massive army of Magadh.
"Kya ran-niti hai Krishna ?" Balram asked.
Krishna said, "Jarasandh ke swamitya mei jitne Raja hai, woh sab adharmi hai aur iss bhumi par bojh. Iss liye unka aur unki sena ka vinaash anivarya hai. Kintu Jarasandh ki nahi."
"Jarasandh ki kyu nahi ?" Balram asked, confused.
Krishna smiled, "Jarasandh yadi aaj hara, toh punah akraman awashya karega. Woh aur sena leke aayega, aur adharmiyo ko ekatrit kar, humare chaukhat par laayega."
"Oh." Balram raised a brow, a playful grin adorning his lips, "Toh bina koi parishram kiye, sabhi adharmi swayam humare paas mrityu paane aayenge, jaise abhaaga patanga agni ke paas ata hai, aur bhasm ho jata hai."
"Ekdum waise hi." Krishna said.
Suddenly, a brilliant divine light pierced through the sky, illuminating the entire courtyard. From the dazzling portal above, two magnificent chariots descended gracefully, as effulgent as the sun. On one of the chariots sat a glorious charioteer, radiating an aura of power and grace. It was Matali, the saarthi of Devraj Indra.
The very next moment, their eternal divine weapons also appeared in front of them spontaneously, ready to be wielded in battle. Krishna and Balram looked at charioteer of Indra, who was bowed in front of them.
"Krishna aur Balram ko mera pranaam. Adharmiyo ke virudh yeh aapka pratham yudh hai. Aapke prasidh rath Nandighosh aur Taladhwaj, shashtro sahit aapke mantavya ko purn karne hetu sajj hai. Aur mai, Devraj Indra ka Saarthi Matali, Shriman Balram ka saarthi banne upasthit hu." Matali said.
Sharing a knowing smile, Krishna said, "Dau, Yaduo par bhayanak sankat aya hai. Aapke priya shashtra aur rath, aapke samaksh hai. Apne bhakto ke kalyaan hetu hi humne janm liya hai. Ab kripiya prithvi ko un 23 akshohini ke bojh se mukt karde."
Balram gave him a nod, and thus both brothers went towards their chariots. Krishna mounted on the resplendent Nandighosh, with Daruk as his charioteer. Balram mounted on the great Taladhwaj, with Matali as his charioteer. The air around them hummed with the promise of victory.
As the chariots begin to move, a soft breeze carries the echoes of prayers and chants, invoking the blessings of gods and goddesses upon the young princes. Only a very small contingent of soldiers accompanied them. The ground trembled beneath the wheels of the chariots, as they ride towards the battlefield with grace and determination.
